<p><strong>ABOUT SERENITY LANE - PORTLAND WEST</strong></p> <p>Serenity Lane is a private, nonprofit drug and alcohol treatment center with numerous locations throughout Oregon as well as one in Washington. There are three locations in Portland - the <strong>Portland West facility provides intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment for adults</strong>.</p> <p>The nonprofit also offers medically monitored detoxification services at its inpatient hospital, which is located a little more than 100 miles south in Coburg.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>All clients receive a <strong>free initial assessment</strong> to determine whether outpatient treatment is the appropriate level of care and that detox services are not needed.</p> <p>The <strong>IOP generally lasts 10 weeks</strong> and includes <strong>individual counseling, group therapy, 12-step meetings, addiction education, and regular drug testing</strong>. Treatment groups meet for 90 minutes, three times a week, at varying days and times to accommodate client’s schedules.</p> <p>For those required to be in treatment due to work, legal, or other issues, Serenity Lane can provide <strong>monitoring services</strong> and report directly to each client's employer, probation officer, etc.</p> <p>A <strong>free three-hour family program</strong> takes place weekly, offering families opportunity for education, support, discussion groups, role-playing activities, and 12-step meetings. Successful program graduates can receive <strong>18 months of aftercare recovery support</strong>, consisting mainly of weekly therapy groups.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The program manager of the facility is a <strong>certified alcohol and drug counselor</strong> with a master’s degree. In the sole Rehabs.com survey to date, an anonymous alum told of well-trained and “wonderful" staff.</p> <p>The facility’s Coburg location, which offers 28-day inpatient treatment for those who need it, employs a team of physicians, psychiatrists, mental health counselors, and professional nurses.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The single Rehabs.com survey respondent to date, an anonymous alum, gave Serenity Lane four or five stars out of five for more than a dozen treatment areas evaluated.
