<p><strong>ABOUT SERENITY LANE BEND</strong></p> <p>Serenity Lane is a private, nonprofit drug and alcohol treatment center with numerous locations throughout Oregon as well as a location in Washington state. Set steps from peaceful Mirror Pond, <strong>the facility in Bend, Ore. provides an intensive outpatient program (IOP) and aftercare for adults.</strong> A medically monitored detox unit is also available at Serenity Lane's <a href="https://www.rehabs.com/listings/serenity-lane-2166920270/" target="_blank">affiliated hospital and inpatient facility</a>, which is located about 130 miles west in the community of Coburg.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Before beginning treatment, all clients receive a <strong>free initial assessment</strong> to make sure that outpatient treatment is an appropriate level of care and determine individual needs. To treat its clientele, Serenity Lane's programming consists of a range of <strong>evidence-based treatment approaches</strong>.</p> <p><strong>The intensive outpatient program (IOP) lasts 10 weeks</strong> and includes individual counseling, group therapy, <strong>12-step introduction and involvement</strong>, addiction education, and regular drug testing. Treatment groups meet for 90 minutes, three times per week. To accommodate client’s schedules, treatment sessions are held at various times throughout the week. </p> <p>For clients who are referred to treatment due to work, legal, or other issues, <strong>the facility can provide monitoring services</strong> and report directly to each client's employer, probation officer, etc. The facility is also state-certified to provide DUII services, which may satisfy various state and court-ordered requirements for driver license reinstatement. </p> <p>To involve loved ones in the recovery process, the Bend location offers a <strong>free, three-hour family program once a week</strong>. The family program includes education classes, <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/the-secret-to-stopping-addiction-in-your-family-forever/" target="_blank">family support</a>, discussion groups, role-playing activities, and 12-step meeting facilitation. Successful graduates of the program receive <strong>18 months of aftercare recovery support,</strong> which consists of weekly therapy groups.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The Bend treatment team includes a program manager who's a <strong>certified drug and alcohol counselor</strong>. Additional staff information is not available on the facility’s website. However, the two loved ones polled by Rehabs.com to date felt that staff members were generally experienced and well-trained. Out of five stars, the two loved ones gave this aspect of the facility ratings of four stars and three stars. </p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>Rehabs.com has not yet received any reviews from this facility’s alumni; however, reviews available on secondary websites revealed polarized opinions of the facility. On Google reviews, <strong>four reviewers gave the facility an average rating of 1.8 out of five stars</strong>. Two reviewers gave the facility only one star. One anonymous loved one gave a four-star ratings for the facility's ability to treat co-occurring disorders, but gave a two-star rating for the amount of family involvement.
