<p><strong>ABOUT FIRSTEP</strong></p> <p>A coordinated partnership between the Oklahoma City Police Department and OKC Metro Alliance, FIRSTEP offers one of the state's <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/OK17.pdf" target="_blank">110 (57.6 percent)</a> <strong>gender-specific rehabilitation programming</strong> as an alternative to incarceration. The facility is one of <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/OK17.pdf" target="_blank">39 (20.4 percent)</a> <strong>long-term residential treatment programs for men</strong> in Oklahoma struggling with chemical dependency. Although FIRSTEP is a treatment facility, the program is focused on <strong>work-related recovery</strong>. It was a good choice for our needs."
