Editorial Review

ABOUT ONE EIGHTY IN WOOSTER, OH

The nonprofit OneEighty was established in 2016, through the merger of a local organization that treated substance use disorder, and another that provided services for women suffering or escaping domestic violence. The merged organization operates three centers in Wooster and Millersburg, in eastern Ohio.

Across its centers, OneEighty offers an emergency center and counseling for battered women, outpatient mental health counseling, a rape crisis center, and supportive housing services, as well as residential, outpatient, and sober living services for individuals struggling with substance use disorder.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

OneEighty doesn't provide extensive details about the nature or duration of its addiction treatments, except to note that counseling is provided in individual, group, and family settings, and clients also participate in sessions on preventing relapse and learning life skills.

In group therapy sessions, there are never more than 12 clients per counselor. The organization also provides medication-assisted treatement (MAT) using, among other medications, Suboxone and Vivitrol (in use at 37.9 and 41.1 percent of Ohio-based facilities, respectively).

Residential care for adults struggling with addiction is offered in two gender-separate homes. Both the men's and the women's homes are among the 3.7 percent of Ohio-based facilities that offer beds for clients' children.

OneEighty also offers two intensive outpatient programs (IOPs) for substance use disorder: one for the general population and one for inmates at a local prison. The facility is one of the 35.7 percent of programs in Ohio that treat criminal justice clients. Both IOPs include aftercare planning. Those who don't require an IOP can enroll for less intensive individual or group outpatient counseling, as needed.

OneEighty also provides recovery coach services and operates five sober living homes, where clients pay rent and utilities while maintaining a sober lifestyle in a supportive environment. Other services include an emergency shelter, counseling, and a crisis hotline for individuals who have suffered domestic violence.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

One Eighty employs a physician, nurses, licensed counselors, and licensed social workers.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

There is currently no information provided by the facility regarding its living arrangements and related offerings, however, the single alum polled by Rehabs.com to date gave the facility three out of five stars for its accommodations and amenities.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

"Overall a good facility," was the appraisal of the single alum polled by Rehabs.com to date, who also gave the facility four out of five stars for its treatment effectiveness.

OneEighty also has mostly positive feedback on secondary sites at the time of this writing, with a 4.9 out of five-star average rating based on seven opinions on Facebook (where the facility can manage its own page) and a 3.8-star average rating based on four reviews on Google.[1] [2]

The reviewers repeatedly spoke of OneEighty's programs in glowing terms, though more than one reviewer complained of difficulty initially accessing programs.
