<p><strong>ABOUT RIVER CENTRE CLINIC</strong></p> <p>Founded in 1996 in a historic suburb of Toledo, Ohio, the River Centre Clinic (RCC) provides treatment for <strong>individuals struggling with eating disorders.</strong> From a suburban campus on the banks of the Ottawa River, the facility offers <strong>outpatient, intensive outpatient (IOP), and partial hospitalization programs</strong> for adults and adolescents, and <strong>residential care for adolescents only.</strong> It is one of <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/OH17.pdf" target="_blank">118 programs in the state specifically tailored to the needs of adolescents.</a> In addition there is an <strong>outpatient program for children.</strong></p> <p>RCC is part of the <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/OH17.pdf" target="_blank">57.2 percent of facilities in Ohio that can work with persons with language, hearing, and vision impairment and other special needs.</a></p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>The most intensive levels of care for each demographic are <strong>a partial hospitalization program (PHP) for adults and residential care for adolescents.</strong> These intensities were chosen because they were determined to be the most cost-effective programs for most people in their respective demographics.</p> <p>The adult PHP involves 35 hours a week of programming: seven hours a day, five days a week, with optional dorm-style residential facilities. A typical day starts at 11:30 a.m. with a weigh-in and includes <strong>supervised meals, nutritional counseling,</strong> group sessions, and joint meal prep. </p> <p>In the adolescent residential program, most clients sleep at the facility, though those who live locally may commute. <strong>Adolescents are in programming for 7 to 12 hours per day,</strong> receiving a similar roster of services to adults, with an added component of <strong>educational services, such as tutoring and school coordination,</strong> plus coaching on the skills of daily life, such as cleanliness, personal hygiene, time management, and recreational activities. There's also <strong>general outpatient care for adults and adolescents,</strong> often offered as a follow-up to the PHP or residential program. Outpatient services are available for younger children who are struggling with eating problems, and their families. This program involves evidence-based practices and includes <strong>individual and family therapy.</strong></p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>RCC is <strong>CARF-accredited</strong> and the team includes board-certified physicians, licensed psychologists, licensed social workers, licensed professional counselors, and a registered dietetic technician.
