<p><strong>ABOUT MCKINLEY HALL</strong></p> <p>Operating for more than 30 years, McKinley Hall is a private, nonprofit treatment provider that offers treatment options for clients needing treatment for chemical dependency. Located in Springfield, Ohio, 30 minutes northeast of Dayton, Ohio, the facility offers <strong>non-medical residential treatment for men</strong>, intensive and non-intensive <strong>outpatient services for both men and women</strong>, and case management services. If necessary, the facility also offers ambulatory <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/drug-and-alcohol-detoxification-process/" target="_blank">(outpatient-based) detox services</a>, as well as a medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for individuals recovering from opioid dependency.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Treatment at McKinley Hall begins with an initial assessment to develop a comprehensive treatment plan. The assessment includes a substance abuse and mental health assessment. After an initial assessment, prospective male clients begin treatment in either the <strong>30-day, non-medical inpatient program</strong> or an outpatient track.</p> <p>The residential program is highly personalized, and each resident engages in at least <strong>six hours of small-scale group treatment daily</strong>. Treatments focus on identifying and applying the right treatments to resolve problem behaviors. Clients learn sober living skills as well as how to avoid these behaviors to maintain a sober lifestyle. Treatment is faith-based and founded on the <strong>12-step model of recovery</strong>.</p> <p>During residential treatment, group counseling sessions may address issues that commonly affect men dealing with chemical dependency, such as <strong>anger management</strong>, emotional regulation, stress management, and coping skills. Clients many also regularly attend on- and off-site 12-step meetings, study fellowship literature, and perform 12-step program components.</p> <p>For men and women who require less structured treatment, <strong>two levels of outpatient treatment are available</strong>. Traditional outpatient programs require less than nine hours per week, designed for those with previous treatment experience. The intensive outpatient program (IOP) requires more than nine hours of structured and in-depth counseling per week. If necessary, the facility also offers an <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/medication-assisted-treatment/" target="_blank">outpatient-based Suboxone program</a>for individuals recovering for opioid dependency.</p> <p>In addition, the facility offers a <strong>four-week chemical dependency education program</strong> for those at-risk at developing a chemical dependency diagnosis. During the educational program, clients discuss addiction and learn approaches to coping and self-management.</p> <p>McKinley Hall provides an assortment of other programs, including a family drug court program, a program for domestic violence intervention, and a program designed for individuals involved with the criminal justice program. McKinley Hall also provides linkages and referrals to community-based vocational rehabilitation services.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The treatment staff at McKinley Hall consists of nurses experienced in addiction medicine, licensed substance abuse counselors, clinical therapists, and case managers. The facility is CARF accredited and maintains its accreditation with continued training and specialization for staff members. </p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>McKinley Hall is designed with a safe home environment in mind. The facility can hold up to 12 clients. The six individuals polled by the Rehabs.com at the time of this writing, in regards to the facility’s cleanliness and upkeep, gave this aspect of the facility an average rating of 3.5 out of five stars.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>At the time of this writing, Rehabs.com has not received any alumni reviews about McKinley Hall. </p> <p>On Google, McKinley Hall received two five out of five star reviews. <small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> In a representative review, alum Erin wrote: “Not only did they give me a place to live, but they helped me get clean. I don't know where I would be without Mc Kinley Hall.”</p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>The seven loved ones polled by Rehabs.com to date about McKinley Hall offered <strong>mixed opinions concerning the facility</strong>. </p> <p>Six of the survey respondents polled on the matters offered average ratings of three out of five stars for the treatment staff’s level of experience and training,2.8 stars for the facility’s counseling options, and <strong>four stars for the level of family participation</strong> in treatment. “Very educated, supportive staff when it comes to drugs and alcohol,” one anonymous loved one wrote. Loved one L.W. disagreed. “Workers need to be more educated,” they wrote.</p> <p>Five loved ones gave an average rating of 1.8 out of five stars for the facility’s inclusion of holistic treatments. “A good facility but needs improved holistic offerings,” one anonymous loved one commented.</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>McKinley Hall accepts <strong>private insurance and Medicaid</strong>. Financial assistance may also be available to those who qualify.
