<p><strong>ABOUT ADDICTION OUTREACH CLINIC</strong></p> <p>With eight locations throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania, Addiction Outreach Clinic (AOC) is a <strong>network of outpatient clinics</strong> that provide <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/medication-assisted-treatment/" target="_blank">medication-assisted treatment (MAT)</a> to adults struggling with <strong>opioid use disorder</strong>. The clinic in Elyria, Ohio is <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/OH16.pdf" target="_blank">one of just 23 facilities in the state</a> to offer opioid addiction treatment, which make up just 1.8 percent of all substance abuse treatment facilities in Ohio.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>In order to receive treatment, clients must refrain from using heroin, opioid painkillers, and/or non-prescribed buprenorphine for at least 24 to 36 hours before their first appointment. Ideally, clients are experiencing <strong>mild-to-moderate withdrawal symptoms</strong> when they arrive. </p> <p>AOC prescribes medications containing <strong>buprenorphine and naloxone</strong> to treat withdrawal, and requires clients to participate in <strong>monthly counseling</strong>, medical assessments, and drug screenings. Treatment is <strong>individualized</strong> and its length is determined by each client's medical need. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The AOC treatment team includes <strong>physicians</strong>, nurses, <strong>board-certified addictionologists</strong>, and counselors. To date, the one alum surveyed by Rehabs.com about the staff's level of training and experience gave it five out of five stars.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The two anonymous alumni polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave AOC positive feedback. One specifically praised the facility for its <strong>individualized care</strong> and awarded it four or five out of five stars for its cleanliness and its counseling options. When asked, on a scale from one to five, if they would recommend the facility, the reviewer gave a rating of five.</p> <p>Of the three former clients who reviewed the AOC on Google, two gave it positive feedback and one gave it negative feedback. Ki described the clinic as nothing more than a "pill mill," however both Barbara and Michael felt that the facility offered effective and professional treatment services. "Honestly I have had nothing but positive experiences with this program, very clean and professional staff, the program does a great job of following the Medical Board Regulations," wrote Michael.</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>There is currently no information provided on the facility's website regarding its costs, however the one alum polled by Rehabs.com to date about cost noted that the treatment was worth its price.</p>
