<p><strong>ABOUT NYACK HOSPITAL RECOVERY CENTER</strong></p> <p>Located in Nyack, N.Y., which is about 36 miles outside of New York City, the Recovery Center at Nyack Hospital offers treatment services for adults struggling with chemical dependency and co-occurring disorders. The facility offers both <strong>inpatient and outpatient programs, as well as medically monitored detoxification</strong> on-site. Ambulatory detox services are also offered on an outpatient basis. </p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>During admission, clients undergo <strong>full evaluations</strong> to determine what level of care is needed. In addition to detox and a 24-hour nursing team, the Recovery Center's inpatient program includes <strong>individual counseling, intensive group therapy</strong>, and comprehensive addiction education. Clients are also introduced to the <strong>12-step model of recovery.</strong> </p> <p>If needed, clients may receive a psychiatric evaluation, <strong>medication management</strong>, and treatment for <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring mental health disorders</a>. <strong>Buprenorphine (Suboxone)</strong> may also be utilized to treat opioid dependence. Discharge planning begins after admission to encourage clients to utilize <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">aftercare programs</a> such as outpatient programs or community support.</p> <p>Some inpatient clients may use the <strong>intensive outpatient program (IOP)</strong> as a step-down continuum of care. The Recovery Center's IOP is offered during the day and night and includes group therapy, individual counseling, and <strong>intense, concentrated life-skills education</strong> to help clients build and practice the tools necessary to maintain recovery.</p> <p>Clients in need of less intensive outpatient care may enter the <strong>clinic-level program</strong>, which offers <strong>specialized therapy groups</strong> including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and relapse prevention. Psychiatric evaluations and medication management are also provided, if needed.</p> <p>In addition, Nyack Hospital Recovery Center offers an <strong>outpatient treatment program for teens aged 14 to 17,</strong> in which loved ones are encouraged to participate. Together with loved ones and staff, clients develop individualized treatment plans designed to tackle youth-specific issues of recovery. The facility also offers an <strong>impaired driver program</strong> designed specifically for DUI/DWI offenders.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>In addition to a medical director and an M.D. certified in buprenorphine treatment for opioid dependence, staff includes a board-certified psychiatrist, certified alcohol and substance abuse counselors, licensed clinical social workers, licensed mental health counselors, addiction counselors, a full-time registered nurse, and a 24/7 nursing team.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>There is currently no information provided by Nyack Hospital regarding its living arrangements and related offerings. She gave two-star ratings for the facility's ability to treat co-occurring disorders and for the level of family participation. β€œToo many negatives to list...Too upsetting to continue,” Carmen wrote.</p> <p><strong>WHAT STAFF SAY</strong></p> <p>The one staffer polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave Nyack Hospital a positive review.
