<p><strong>ABOUT FOUR WINDS HOSPITAL - WESTCHESTER</strong></p> <p>Located in Katanoh, N.Y. fifty minutes north of midtown Manhattan, Four Wind Hospital Westchester (FWH) provides <strong>inpatient, partial hospitalization (PHP), and outpatient (OP) treatment to children, adolescents, and adults.</strong> Detox services are not available on site.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Clients may enroll into residential or OP treatment. Clients are divided into four groups, each with different services offered: children, pre-teens, adolescents, and adults.</p> <p>Child clients enter a therapeutic, home-like environment and follow a treatment regime based on <strong>Applied Behavioral Analysis,</strong> which positively reinforces clients' appropriate behaviors. Pre-teen clients receive specialized treatment for a variety of psychiatric disabilities, with a focus on developing <strong>impulse control, social skills, and positive communications.</strong> Both of these programs involve family participation and educational services at a learning center.</p> <p>Adolescent clients receive treatment based on treatment modalities including <strong>behavioral therapy (DBT) and collaborative problem solving (CPS).</strong> Adult clients receive comprehensive evaluations and specialized treatment to manage psychosocial stressors and life challenges. Both adults and adolescents receive <strong>treatment for various mental health issues</strong> including depression and anxiety.</p> <p>Outpatient treatment operates weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Treatment comes in condensed forms of the therapy offered in residential treatment.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Staff include doctoral-level medical directors, psychiatric and family nurse practitioners, educators, and a consulting psychiatrist. </p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>Pictures on the website depict various large stone and wood houses, picturesque gardens and walking paths, seats outside, and gazebos. Clients stay in <strong>shared rooms.</strong> Treatment includes <strong>holistic therapies</strong> such as spirituality education and recreational therapies including art, music, and theater.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>Three alumni polled by Rehabs.com to date rated FWH <strong>very positively</strong>, rating it four and five out of five stars for its treatment effectiveness, accommodations and amenities, and meals and nutrition. Alumni praised the structure, varied resources, and socialization the facility offered.
