The center also provides psychiatric evaluations and medication management, for those clients who require medical interventions, as well as case management services. In addition, <strong>the facility emphasizes the treatment of trauma,</strong> with experts on staff to help individuals of any age who have experienced traumatic events of any sort.</p> <p>There's dedicated programming for children and their families, which uses trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), with a particular emphasis on <strong>creative arts and other nonverbal therapies</strong> such as drama, music, and movement. Treatment in this department includes a program for youth dealing with a sexual conduct disorder. Other dedicated programming includes <strong>specialized resources for members of the LGBTQ community.</strong></p> <p>In addition to treating individuals on-site, Sunset Terrace can provide referrals to inpatient psychiatric services, community resources, and other sources of support. </p> <p>The center is open 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Fridays.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The team consists of physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, social workers, and addiction counselors.
