<p><strong>ABOUT PEAK BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES</strong></p> <p>Peak Behavioral Health is a <strong>behavioral health hospital</strong> located directly on the border between New Mexico, Texas, and Mexico, in the northwestern outskirts of El Paso. The hospital offers <strong>medical detox and a variety of inpatient and outpatient services</strong> for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors struggling with various mental and behavioral health disorders, including problematic substance use.</p> <p>The hospital offers dedicated treatment services for veterans and active service members.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Treatment begins with a free assessment.</p> <p>Acute-care inpatient services are provided for individuals of all ages who require immediate stabilization. During their brief stay at the hospital, individuals receiving acute care will receive participate in <strong>individual, group, and family therapy, recreational therapy,</strong> and discharge planning, which begins on the day of intake. Where necessary, acute-care clients also receive <strong>medication management and education services,</strong> and detoxing individuals also participate in relapse-prevention sessions.</p> <p>The center also offers less <strong>intensive residential services for adolescent boys and girls aged 12 to 17</strong> who are struggling with emotional and/or behavioral issues, including substance use disorder, that exhibit themselves frequently and disruptively. The program is <strong>trauma-informed,</strong> and uses modalities including gender-specific programming, substance use education, and psychoeducation. Residents also participate in schooling.</p> <p>There are <strong>partial hospitalization programs (PHPs) and intensive outpatient programs (IOPs)</strong> for both adults and adolescents, which use similar treatment modalities to residential treatment, at staggered intensities. The adolescent IOP allows clients to keep attending school during treatment.</p> <p>Upon discharge, all clients are matched with a mental-health provider in their community, with whom they meet for a <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">follow-up appointment</a>.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Staff includes psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and licensed therapists. Both of the individuals polled by Rehabs.com to date gave Peak Behavioral Health perfect five-star ratings for its staff's level of training and experience.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>The hospital has <strong>119 beds,</strong> as well as a licensed school for adolescent residents, a gym, and outdoor courtyards. Both of the individuals polled by Rehabs.com to date gave Peak Behavioral Health five-star ratings for its cleanliness, accommodations, and meals/nutrition. The center's exercise and leisure offerings received a three-star rating and a five-star rating.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The single alum polled by Rehabs.com to date would strongly recommend Peak Behavioral Health. "Great staff," they wrote, also praising their fellow patients and giving the facility four stars for its treatment effectiveness, family participation, and ability to treat <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring disorders</a>, and two stars for its holistic offerings and counseling options. They gave the facility five stars for its treatment effectiveness, family participation, counseling options, and ability to treat co-occurring disorders, and one star for its holistic offerings.</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>Peak Behavioral Health accepts Medicare, Medicaid, TriCare, and most commercial insurances.
