ABOUT WHITE MOUNTAINS RECOVERY HOMES LLC

White Mountains Recovery Homes LLC is a newly-opened sober living home that prides itself as being the only one of its kind within a 60-mile radius. Located in the small community of Littleton, N.H., just west of the mountains, the home aims to provide a setting that is safe and conducive to drug and alcohol recovery.

According to its website, White Mountains Recovery Homes “is not equipped to manage medication” nor does it accept individuals with sexual offenses or arson.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The recovery program at White Mountains Recovery Homes is based heavily on the 12 Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous and some strict rules. For the first 90 days following program entry, men are expected to attend either A.A. or N.A. support groups daily, one of which will be a “step-meeting.” Within 30 days, they’ll have found a sponsor. Men are also held to twice-weekly and random drug tests.

In addition to their meetings, men have access to weekly life skills classes and optional Bible study groups. They’re also required to attend therapy sessions, and will receive assistance in locating a therapist/psychiatrist if needed. Families are encouraged to visit upon prior approval of the house manager.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

White Mountains Recovery Homes LLC was founded, rather recently, by a licensed alcohol drug abuse counselor (LADC) with over 12 years of experience in the addiction field.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

White Mountains Recovery Homes runs three separate sober homes. Rather modest and comfortable in décor, each one comes equipped with kitchen and living room, shared bedrooms and bathroom, as well as WIFI and TV with Netflix. Weekly and group meetings take place at the organization’s main office.

Men are required to keep their personal areas clean, complete their weekly chores, and adhere to nightly curfew. Smoking is permitted only in the backyard.

REVIEWS

Rehabs.com has not yet received any reviews from this facility’s alumni, affiliated friends or family members, or staff.

On Google, eight individuals awarded the organization five stars, though many mentioned having had interaction or experience working with the owner. “From personal experience & one on one interaction with the owner I am completely confident this opportunity is going to save MANY lives in the North Country that otherwise wouldn't be available,” wrote Ashley in a representative statement.[1]

FINANCING

Depending on which of the three homes a client resides in, per the organization’s website, a week at the sober living home runs between $135 and $150. The organization also happily accepts monetary donations.

[1] https://goo.gl/2xtwvC
