<p><strong>ABOUT NEW FREEDOM ACADEMY</strong></p> <p>New Freedom Academy is a treatment center located in Canterbury, N.H. <strong>Treating adults ages 18 and up</strong>, NFA has a <strong>residential program</strong> and focuses on treating substance abuse using <strong>the 12 Steps</strong>. It is among the <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/NH16.pdf" target="_blank">61 percent of New Hampshire facilities to incorporate the 12-steps</a>. </p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>The center accepts new patients seven days a week. New Freedom Academy applies an integrated approach of cutting-edge clinical systems and a daily 12-step practice. </p> <p>One of <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/NH16.pdf" target="_blank">17 residential facilities</a> in New Hampshire, New Freedom offers continuum of care, individualized treatment, 12-step meetings, sponsorship and service commitments. It also offers alumni an aftercare programming. It operates through recovery-oriented systems of care, which focuses on prevention, intervention, treatment, and post-treatment.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>New Freedom staff includes a psychiatrist, direct care managed by a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and the process is supported by master’s-level therapists.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>The facility has a <strong>20-bed dormitory</strong>. It also has a large 2-story hexagon building with a great room which holds 100 people for workshops. The facility is also located on lush green in idyllic New Hampshire.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>Five alums who submitted reviews to Rehabs.com gave five stars across the board. They complimented the facilities programming and treatment effectiveness.</p> <p>"I have been to over 20 treatment centers and detoxes total and New Freedom Academy was the only place that gave me a new life," one alum wrote. Another alum wrote, "An amazing place where miracles happen! I found myself through the programming they have and fostered an amazing community of clients and alumni to support me."</p> <p>On Google, nine alums rated the facility 3.7 stars.<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> Those that left comments left very positive reviews of the center, particularly regarding the staff and programming.</p> <p>"The love, encouragement and unwavering support in those first few weeks shown to me by staff when I wanted to do nothing more than die, I will forever be grateful for," an alum wrote.</p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>To date, a sole family member offered five stars to New Freedom.</p> <p>The family member wrote, "New Freedom Academy saved not only saved one but two of my family members lives."</p> <p><strong>WHAT STAFF SAY</strong></p> <p>Nine staff members left reviews on Rehabs.com.
