<p><strong>ABOUT THE EMPOWERMENT CENTER</strong></p> <p>Located in Reno, Nev., The Empowerment Center is a <strong>sober living house for men and women</strong> designed to bridge the gap between treatment and independent living. According to the facility's website, The Empowerment Center's mission is “to provide safe and sober housing to recovering addicts and alcoholics with services, support, and commitment to our client’s long term success using a 12-step recovery process.”</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>According to the center's website, while the <strong>minimum length of residence in the sober living home is 120 days</strong>, residents are able to stay for up to two years. The Empowerment Center encourages clients to stay longer so they build a solid foundation. </p> <p>In order to enter the sober living home, <strong>clients must have had prior treatment,</strong> have a desire to stay clean and sober, are able to follow program rules, are willing to <strong>participate in a 12-step program</strong>, and are able to pay fees on time. </p> <p>While clients are in treatment, all bills are paid by the treatment center. The Empowerment House offers <strong>weekly life skills training</strong>, as clients participate in 12-step study sessions and attend <strong>12-step meetings</strong>. In addition, residents attend weekly Women's Empowerment or Men's Strength of Character groups, and <strong>individual and group therapy is also provided.</strong></p> <p>The Empowerment Center implements a <strong>four level step-down program</strong>, which incrementally offers increasing autonomy as the resident progresses in the home. While in treatment, residents learn the <strong>coping skills and recovery tools</strong> needed to live a sober life. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>There is currently no information provided by the facility regarding its treatment staff. "It was amazing spending time and attending a 12 step meeting so far from my home in South Florida."</p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>The single loved one polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing left positive feedback, offering five out of five stars for the likelihood they would recommend Empowerment Center, its treatment effectiveness, counseling options, and holistic offerings. </p> <p>"Compassion of staff and access to all the various social services assistance," they wrote were the strengths of the center. Although citing a lack of beds and subsequent wait list as a weakness, the loved one added: "The rules were fair and clear. the support is sincere and holistic."</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>According to the facility's website, residents pay <strong>$155 a week or $22.14 a day</strong> to stay in the sober living house. When residents arrive, they are required to pay first and last week's fees and a $50 administrative fee.
