<p><strong>ABOUT LAS VEGAS RESCUE MISSION</strong></p> <p>Located just off I-15 in Las Vegas, Nev., the Las Vegas Rescue Mission has a <strong>residential treatment program</strong> for adult men and women seeking treatment for addiction. The facility is one of Nevada’s <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/NV17.pdf" target="_blank">41 private, non-profit treatment facilities</a>. It offers a <strong>Christian faith-based treatment</strong> program that is supported by the community and business partners. Detox is not available on-site. </p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Treatment at the Mission is <strong>faith-based</strong> following Christian values. The facility serves as a resource for clients to focus on a physical, mental, and spiritual recovery. Clients participate in faith-based treatment methods including <strong>Bible study</strong>. </p> <p>The Las Vegas Rescue Mission is one of Nevada’s <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/NV17.pdf" target="_blank">22 long-term, non-hospital treatment facilities</a>. The program lasts <strong>at least one year</strong>, and clients can choose to extend that program to fit their needs. </p> <p>Education is a major component of the treatment program, and classes focus on the basics of addiction, treatment methods, and <strong>spiritual concepts regarding addiction and recovery</strong>. Progress through the treatment program is measured by a list of requirements. Clients may also be required to donate their time in assisting with the mission's thrift stores, which help support the program,</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>the Las Vegas Rescue Mission's staff includes a <strong>full-time resident pastor</strong>, as well as multiple support team members and volunteers. The two loved ones surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave the facility three out of five stars and four out of five stars respectively for its staff's level of training and experience.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>The Mission's recovery program can accommodate up to <strong>130 residents in gender-specific living quarters</strong>. The campus has a large training and 300-seat dining facility, which is often used to create multiple classrooms and meeting spaces. Of the two loved ones polled by Rehabs.com to date, one gave the facility four out of five stars for its accommodations and amenities and its cleanliness. The other gave the Mission just two out of five stars for the same metrics and claimed that the facility had bed bugs.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>Rehabs.com has yet to receive alumni feedback. A.A. gave the facility positive feedback, awarding it four out of five stars or higher for its family participation, its connectivity, its 12-step inclusion, and its treatment of <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring disorders</a>. "They offer a great amount of services, meeting addicts at whatever level they are. They offer multiple options and reentry. I'm so impressed and indebted to them," A.A. wrote.</p> <p>However, the other loved one gave the Mission lower ratings of two and three out of five stars for its exercise and leisure activities, its holistic offerings, its counseling options, and its administrative and discharge procedures. They did give the Mission five out of five stars for its family participation and affordability, and four stars for its treatment of co-occurring disorders. </p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>The Las Vegas Rescue Mission is one of <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/NV17.pdf" target="_blank">four facilities in Nevada</a> that provide services at no cost. The facility is supported by fundraisers, donors, and monies raised by their thrift stores. </p> <p><strong>CONCLUSION</strong></p> <p>To help raise funds for programming at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission, it promotes charity events. The facility hosts marathons and other activity-focused events as fundraisers.
