<p><strong>ABOUT HUMAN BEHAVIOR INSTITUTE</strong></p> <p>With offices in Las Vegas and Reno, the Human Behavior Institute (HBI) is a full-service behavioral health organization. A network of more than 300 providers, HBI provides <strong>a range of outpatient services</strong> for individuals struggling with behavioral health disorders, substance use disorder, or <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">dual diagnosis</a>. HBI is also <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/NV16.pdf" target="_blank">one of 16 Nevada substance abuse treatment facilities to provide adolescent services</a>, which make up just 20 percent of all treatment facilities in the state.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>HBI aims to provide <strong>holistic, multidisciplinary care,</strong> always aspiring to complement medication-based approaches with appropriate and effective therapies. Clients are assessed upon admission and if it's determined that an inpatient program would be more suitable, HBI will help make referrals for admission to an appropriate facility.</p> <p>In addition to a <strong>a partial hospitalization program (PHP)</strong> and specialized groups for clients with co-occurring disorders, HBI runs a SPOTLIGHT Addiction Recovery program which involves a month of intensive (four times a week) treatment, followed by an <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">aftercare program</a> that meets weekly for two years. The program includes individual, group, and family counseling, and <strong>medication management</strong> when necessary.</p> <p>Also available are general outpatient services for adults, teens (ages 13 to 18), couples, and families including individual therapy, marriage and family counseling, and psychosocial rehabilitation services. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>HBI is a consortium of more than 300 behavioral health practitioners from a variety of disciplines. The team includes <strong>psychiatrists</strong>, psychologists, marriage and family therapists, licensed clinical social workers, and <strong>addiction counselors.</strong> The single loved one polled by Rehabs.com to date gave the facility three out of five stars for its staff's level of training and experience.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>The Las Vegas headquarters operates from an attractive, single-story building that looks a little like a family home, on a busy boulevard in southwestern Las Vegas.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>While Rehabs.com has not yet received any reviews from this facility’s alumni, HBI received mixed feedback on secondary sites. It earned average ratings of <strong>three out of five stars</strong> based on 22 Facebook reviews, <small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-2"><sup>[2]</sup></a></small> <strong>2.8 out of five stars</strong> based on 59 Google reviews<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-2"><sup>[2]</sup></a></small>, and <strong>two out of five stars</strong> based on 32 Yelp reviews<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-3"><sup>[3]</sup></a></small>. Unless you wanna wait every other month to see any type of therapist, doctor, pain management ect I suggest you go somewhere else!" </p> <p>However, there were a handful of reviewers across the three sites who reported positive experiences with HBI, including Ann who told Yelp: "Ive been comming here for many years, all the therapist are very helpful. The staff is very nice. Your first visit might be take a while to get but once your established theres hardley a wait. Double check your insurance to make sure they are providers."</p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>The single loved one polled by Rehabs.com to date gave HBI negative feedback and noted that they would not recommend the facility to friends or family. The anonymous reviewer, a male between the ages of 18 and 25, gave the facility just one out of five stars for its counseling options, its administrative and discharge procedures, and its treatment of co-occurring disorders. While the reviewer did note that the treatment programs were inclusive of families, he also described the customer service as " rough at best," and complained that the treatment was too focused on religion.</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>HBI is a preferred provider for United Healthcare, Humana, and Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, and also accepts other health insurance plans.
