ABOUT CENTERPOINTE HOSPITAL- ST. PETERS OUTPATIENT- ST. PETERS, MO

CenterPointe Hospital - St. Peters Outpatient, located in St. Peters, Missouri, offers outpatient treatment to adult men and women struggling with substance abuse disorder or co-occurring mental health and addiction disorders. The outpatient clinic is part of the nearby CenterPointe Hospital, a 150-bed private psychiatric hospital providing care for adolescents, adults, and seniors, including medically monitored detox services. There are also four other outpatient centers throughout the St. Louis Metro and mid-Missouri region.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The facility’s addiction treatment philosophy recognizes that addiction is a disease that has diagnosable symptoms and, therefore, can be effectively treated. The outpatient clinic follows a medically monitored, multidiscipline approach to care, also incorporating the 12-step model of recovery into the treatment regimen. CenterPointe recognizes the importance of treating the whole person.

To be admitted, clients should contact the program directly for an assessment. The assessment team is available 24 hours per day to help individuals and families, especially during emergency situations. The assessment allows clients to be placed into the correct level of care based on the severity of their disease.

Throughout treatment, clients receive group and individual therapy, addiction education, and other treatment methods that help clients to develop their own individual recovery skills. The outpatient program is designed for clients who do not need the structure of a full 24-hour program and may be used as a step-down from residential treatment.

CenterPointe offers a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP). Both provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to clients struggling with opioid dependency, at the discretion of the program's medical director. CentrePointe is one of only 13 substance abuse treatment facilities in Missouri (just one percent of all facilities in the state) to have a dedicated opioid treatment program.

PHP and IOP are also offered to adults and adolescents in need of outpatient psychiatric care. The methods of treatment for psychiatric illness are similar to those for addiction treatment and including individual and group therapy, education, and cognitive behavioral therapy. An emphasis on relapse prevention and improvement of medication compliance is also incorporated.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The treatment team includes psychiatric and board-certified psychiatric medical doctors, nurses, licensed clinical social workers, counselors, and therapists, along with other administrative and support staff.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

The one alum polled by Rehabs.com to date, an anonymous 40 to 59-year old female, gave the St. Peters Outpatient clinic a mostly positive reviews. She awarded the facility four or five out of five stars for its cleanliness, its administrative and discharge procedures, its counseling options, and its staff's level of training and experience.
