<p><strong>ABOUT CENTER FOR LIFE SOLUTIONS</strong></p> <p>Center for Life Solutions is a nonprofit that works with the State of Missouri's Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division. From a roadside facility 15 miles northwest of central St. Louis, Mo., the facility offers <strong>medication-assisted outpatient treatment</strong> for individuals struggling with <strong>addiction to opiates,</strong> making it one of the only <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/MO16.pdf" target="_blank">13 (1 percent)</a> facilities in the state with an Opioid Treatment Program (OTP).</p> <p>The facility operates a federal probation and parole program for individuals in the criminal justice system.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>The center provides <strong>methadone, Suboxone, buprenorphine, Vivitrol, and Naltrexone programs,</strong> in conjunction with individual, group, and <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/the-pain-of-addiction-in-the-family-how-counseling-can-help/" target="_blank">family therapy,</a> including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). The length of the medication program is determined by the client. Many clients wean off their replacement medication after one or two years, while others continue to use it in the longer term. For individuals involved in the criminal justice system, the center provides <a href="http://www.moral-reconation-therapy.com/" target="_blank">moral reconation therapy (MRT).</a> Finally, the center offers drug screening and testing for HIV, hepatitis, and tuberculosis.</p> <p>Clients can access a 24-hour hotline, which also serves to provide referral services. In addition, the center provides community outreach in the form of presentations to local medical professionals, law enforcement, and other institutions.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The center is staffed by physicians, nurses, and substance abuse counselors. In the state of Missouri, <a href="https://www.samhsa.gov/data/sites/default/files/report_3059/ShortReport-3059.pdf" target="_blank">98.8 percent</a> of all substance abuse treatment facilities have continuing education requirements for staff.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>"Facility was good," was the appraisal of the single alum polled by Rehabs.com to date, E.M. Noting that he selected this facility because it was the "Only one in St. Louis," this reviewer gave the facility five stars for the overall quality of its individual and group counseling and for its treatment effectiveness.</p> <p>At the time of this writing, <strong>secondary review sites yielded mostly positive feedback:</strong> the center had a 4.2-star average rating based on 18 reviews on Google.<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> Many five-star reviewers did not leave written feedback, but those who did <strong>praised the staff and programming</strong>. </p> <p>"The nurses, security, counselors, and even the owner tries to make sure they are doing their best to help you in whatever way you need and get to know you," T.H. wrote in a representative comment. Former client T.C. added, "The staff is wonderful, caring and knowledgeable. The programming is insightful, helpful and life saving."</p> <p>Both of the negative reviewers, contrastingly, cited difficulties with staff. "Counselors and doctors always late and missing appts and late," K.B. wrote, and H.M. complained of staff rudeness.
