<p><strong>ABOUT JOLIMAR RECOVERY CENTER</strong></p> <p>From a rural location in southern Mississippi, Jolimar Recovery Center offers outpatient treatment at a variety of intensities for adults struggling with substance abuse and mental health disorders.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>For individuals struggling with substance abuse, the center offers assessment and education services as well as an <strong>intensive outpatient program (IOP)</strong> that's offered on weekday afternoons or evenings, to suit a variety of schedules. The length of the IOP is tailored to suit the individual client's needs.</p> <p>Treatment is quite traditional, taking in individual and group counseling, <strong>an introduction to the 12-Steps,</strong> a family program, education about addiction and recovery, relapse prevention groups, and education about HIV, AIDS, and other infectious diseases. The <strong>family program</strong> includes family group counseling as well as individual family sessions and an introduction to 12-step groups such as Al-Anon. Jolimar also places a particular emphasis on <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/">continuing care</a>, offering <strong>weekly aftercare sessions on-site,</strong> as well as referrals to aftercare in Louisiana, Texas, and the Mississippi Gulf Coast. </p> <p>In addition to substance abuse treatment, the facility offers a drug and alcohol awareness program that consists of six two-hour classes.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Staff includes a PhD-level counselor employed on a consulting basis, as well as a master's level therapist and two certified alcohol and drug counselors, both of whom are in recovery and are active members of 12-step groups. L.P. gave the facility five stars for its family participation and its treatment for co-occurring disorders, four stars for its treatment effectiveness and holistic offerings, and three stars for its counseling options.</p> <p>"Without the tools I was given by the staff here I would not be alive today. Thank you all for what you do," S.U. wrote in a five-star review on Google, the only secondary review Rehabs.com was able to uncover at the time of this writing.<small class="footnote"><a href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small></p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>Prices for substance abuse counseling are available only upon request, but <strong>the cost of marriage and family counseling is $100/hour.</strong> Drug screenings cost $25, an alcohol screen costs $40, and the two combined cost $55.
