<p><strong>ABOUT HAVEN CHEMICAL HEALTH SYSTEMS - WACONIA</strong></p> <p>Haven Chemical Health Systems opened in 2000 with one outpatient center and now operates four outpatient and three residential facilities in Minnesota. Approximately 35 miles from Minneapolis, the Waconia center provides <strong>an intensive outpatient program (IOP), relapse prevention, and case management for adults</strong> struggling with substance abuse disorders.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Within the state, Haven Chemical Health Systems – Waconia is among the 34.6 percent of substance abuse treatment <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/WI16.pdf" target="_blank">facilities that offer IOPs</a>. Programming is based on the belief that <strong>substance abuse is a complex disease</strong> that affects the whole person, and programming founded in the <strong>12-step model of recovery</strong>.</p> <p>The IOP is held in the evening on <strong>Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m.</strong> Outpatient programs are available in <strong>three different levels of intensity</strong>, and individuals progress at their own pace. Clients start by attending <strong>three sessions per week</strong> and gradually transition to two times and one time per week, based on their needs. The program <strong>typically lasts three months</strong>. In addition, a family program for loved ones of clients is held every other Thursday. </p> <p>The facility also offers <strong>relapse prevention services</strong> for clients who have successfully or unsuccessfully completed treatment in the past. The program utilizes <strong>individual and group counseling</strong>, family groups, lectures and audiovisual aids, education on the relapse process, and culminates in preparation of a relapse prevention plan of action. </p> <p><strong>Case management</strong> helps clients with complicating factors not fully addressed in traditional treatment. Services include individual substance abuse treatment sessions at the office or client’s home, group sessions, <strong>assistance in finding sober living</strong>, transportation to appointments, as well as coordination of employment, educational, medical, and mental health services. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Haven Chemical Health Systems's website notes that licensed alcohol and drug counselors provide therapy and facilitate educational programming.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>Rehabs.com has yet to receive alumni feedback to date. Overall, the alum was critical of the substance abuse assessment. They also offered four stars for affordability and the level of staff experience and training., though did feel that there was "not enough staff at times."</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>Haven Chemical Health Systems accepts nearly all insurance plans, including BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Health Partners, Medica, and United Healthcare.
