Recommended services are determined by individual client needs. According to the facility’s website, Amethyst utilizes a range of evidence-based treatment approaches. Through <strong>individual and group counseling sessions</strong>, counselors adhere to a client-centered approach that utilizes <strong>motivational interviewing (MI) techniques</strong>. This therapeutic approach is designed to help clients set achievable recovery goals by focusing on their cognitive strengths.</p> <p>Depending on client needs, Amethyst provides program tracks that involve <strong>one to three group counseling sessions per week</strong>. Along with group sessions focused on substance abuse, the facility offers groups sessions on <strong>anger management</strong>, anxiety, depression, stress management, trauma, relapse prevention, and <strong>domestic violence</strong>. Gender-specific group sessions are also available to address issues that commonly affect men and women struggling with behavioral and mental health concerns.</p> <p>In addition to counseling sessions, the facility provides <strong>psychoeducational classes</strong> on a range of topics, introduces clients to the <strong>principles and practices of 12-Step</strong>, and offers spirituality guidance sessions. To involve loved ones in the recovery process, Amethyst also facilitates <strong>counseling groups for family members</strong> and concerned persons.</p> <p>Amethyst also works with local courts to ensure treatment <strong>satisfies any court-ordered requirements</strong> for individuals involved in the criminal justice system. Up to date on the latest treatment modalities. But most importantly...the human element is in the forefront."</p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>The sole loved one polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing, Blaine, did not approve of the facility. A parent of a client, the survey respondent gave poor one-star ratings for the facility’s level of staff support, the facility’s counseling effectiveness, and its cleanliness.
