RCCS actively brings substance abuse recovery programs into the county jails and prisons. The organization was founded in 2011 and remains committed and dedicated to their community with a vision to provide solutions to the justice system and create healthier individuals, families, and communities.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The facility’s treatment program follows a holistic and evidence-based approach to substance abuse treatment and all services offered at RCCS. Substance abuse treatment begins with a “Rule 25 Assessment” completed by a licensed drug and alcohol counselor. This assessment helps staff to determine the level of care needed and submit treatment recommendations to insurance companies or counties that approve the funding needed for treatment. The assessment gathers information regarding chemical use history, physical health, mental and emotional health, family history, treatment history, criminal history, living environment, social environment, and more.

The facility utilizes their unique, “Day One Approach” which was created by the organization’s founder to address the specific needs of RCCS’s clients. The approach is evidence-based and follows the principles of the “What Works” philosophy. The principles are: Risk Principle to target higher risk clients, the Need Principle to target criminal risk and need factors, the Treatment Principle which uses a behavior focused approach, and the Fidelity Principle to implement the program as desired by each client.

All outpatient programs offered by the facility implement the Rule 25 Assessment and Day One Approach. There are gender-specific and mixed gender intensive outpatient programs (IOP) available including an evening IOP. IOP addresses criminal thinking, chemical use, and transitional needs. Services may include: Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), Thinking for a Change (T4C), cognitive skills, anger management, relapse prevention, financial education, job seeking assistance, and more. Clients also receive case management, mental health assessments, and mental health support as needed. Individual therapy is offered on-site.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

The treatment team includes several licensed drug and alcohol counselors, therapeutic counselors and mental health workers, chemical dependency technicians, lab technicians, and many other administrative, leadership, and support staff.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

RCCS does not offer residential treatment but does partner with several supportive housing options located near all RCCS treatment centers.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

As of this writing, Rehabs.com had yet to receive feedback from former clients of this facility.

On the center’s Facebook page, which it can manage, there was an overall rating of 4.9 out of five stars based on 49 total reviews to date.[1] One alum, D.C., who gave five stars, felt that program changed his life.
