<p><strong>ABOUT KAIROS HEALTHCARE - QUEEN OF ANGELS</strong></p> <p>Since 1997, Kairos Healthcare has delivered comprehensive addiction treatment services for adolescents and adults in central Michigan. Today, the CARF-accredited agency’s Queen of Angels location offers <strong>residential programs for women and teens</strong>. Medically <strong>monitored detox is available on-site.</strong> Only 7.2% of the residential treatment centers in Michigan offer detox. </p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>According to Kairos Healthcare's website, it offers treatment to women and teens who are struggling with <strong>substance use and <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring disorders.</strong></a> Treatment is designed to treat the “whole person.” Programming incorporates various disciplines and modalities such as <strong>motivational enhancement therapy (MET) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).</strong></p> <p>Whether in treatment for chemical dependency or mental health issues, residents attend individual, group, and family therapy sessions and develop <strong>skills central to independent living and future employment</strong>. Beyond their time in therapy, clients partake in recreational activities and have access to spiritual guidance and counseling.</p> <p>All services can accommodations women with non-school aged children. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>According to the facility’s website, Kairos Healthcare employs professionals who are “highly trained and committed to individual wellness, family stability and positive organizational change.” </p> <p>The two alumni polled by Rehabs.com to date gave three- and four- out of five stars respectively for the staff's level of training and experience. </p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>There is currently no information provided by the facility regarding its living arrangements and related offerings, however, the two alumni surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave polarized ratings for accommodations and amenities and for meals and nutrition. The pair did find common ground on the facility’s level of cleanliness, for which they both offered four out of five-star ratings.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The two former clients polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing shared mostly positive opinions of Kairos Healthcare.</p> <p>Alum Jennifer considered Kairos a “peaceful place” where she was given the opportunity to “learn who I am.” Yet she also felt that the facility didn’t cater to various comforts such as bedtime snacks and several cups of coffee per day. “Anyway I would recommend Kairos any day,” she added.</p> <p>The other alum, when asked, on a scale from one to five, how strongly they would recommend the center, gave four stars.</p> <p>To date, <strong>the eight individuals who left Google Reviews for Kairos Healthcare gave an average of three out of five stars</strong>, and the people who provided commentary left mixed feedback.<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> It's important to note the reviews are for all of Kairos Healthcare, not just this facility. Some people praised the center and called it wonderful, while other individuals said they're just in it for the money. </p> <p><strong>WHAT STAFF SAY</strong></p> <p>Rehabs.com also received a critique from one former staff member who worked at the adolescent program at the time of this writing. “I raised a number of concerns with the program director (including safety issues, no availability of resources for counselors, no generalized treatment protocol, and lack of on-going training for staff. Director heard me but nothing was done about it to my knowledge," they wrote. </p> <p>To date, <strong>the five staffers or former employees who left reviews on Indeed for Kairos Healthcare gave three out of five stars, and feedback was also mixed</strong>. While one employee called it a great work environment, another noted it wasn't. Another complaint included too much office gossip. However, two staffers indicated they really liked working with clients. <small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-2"><sup>[2]</sup></a></small></p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>According to the facility’s website, Kairos Healthcare accepts private insurance and <strong>Medicaid</strong> and works with local funding sources. Sliding scale fees are available for uninsured individuals.
