This clinic offers psychotherapy and counseling to <strong>children, teens, and adults</strong>.</p> <p>The clinic also works with couples facing difficulties at any stage in their relationship, a feature of just <a href="https://www.samhsa.gov/data/sites/default/files/2016_NSSATS.pdf" target="_blank">59.7% of facilities</a> in the state, as well as individuals in need of parenting advice.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>For its modest size, the clinic employs an impressive team of <strong>board-certified psychiatrists, licensed clinical social workers</strong>, and master’s level mental health counselors.</p> <p>In Maryland, <a href="https://www.samhsa.gov/data/sites/default/files/report_3059/ShortReport-3059.pdf" target="_blank">97.8% of all substance abuse treatment facilities</a> have continuing education requirements for staff.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>Rehabs.com has yet to receive feedback from the clinic’s alumni.</p> <p>On Google, where nine individuals generated an average rating of 2.3 out of five stars, <strong>feedback was quite critical</strong>.<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> After accidentally having missed his first appointment here, Google reviewer Mike was surprised to find that “if you miss even one appointment you are terminated as a patient there,” and concluded, "Terribly disappointing.” Another reviewer shared a similar sentiment: “THEY ARE HORRIBLE! THE SECRETARY IS EXTREMELY RUDE AND IS NOT SYMPATHETIC,” and many users expressed the same frustration about <strong>rude customer service</strong> and <strong>difficulty making an appointment</strong>. All three individuals also complained about unprofessional staff. </p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>The single Rehabs.com survey respondent to date, the parent of a former client, gave the clinic mostly <strong>four- and five-star ratings for a variety of treatment areas</strong> including the staff’s level of training and experience, the counseling options, family participation, and affordability. “This was for my daughter, who no longer uses drugs,” this parent explained, presumably crediting their child’s success to “mostly time and choices.” This parent listed "drug testing counseling" as a facility strength, but criticized the faciity for not accepting certain insurances. </p> <p>One of the few satisfied reviewers on Google at the time of this writing was the parent of two former clients of this clinic. This reviewer praised the treatment given to one of her children, suffering from PTSD, and her other child who is autistic. "We cannot recommend her enough," this parent wrote of a specific clinic employee.<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> </p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>Of the many major insurance plans accepted here, Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, and Tricare are top of the list.
