<p><strong>ABOUT MEDSTAR MONTGOMERY MEDICAL CENTER ADDICTION AND MENTAL HEALTH CENTER</strong></p> <p>Located in Olney, Md., which is about 20 miles north of Washington, D.C., MedStar Montgomery Medical Center is one of Maryland’s <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/MD16.pdf" target="_blank">146 private, non-profit community hospitals</a> to offer behavioral health care. The Addiction and Mental Health Center (AMHC) that offers <strong>treatment for adults and adolescents</strong>. The facility offers <strong>medically-monitored detox services</strong> on an inpatient basis, as well as a variety of <strong>outpatient programs</strong>.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>The treatment process at MedStar begins with <strong>comprehensive assessment</strong> at the facility's Evaluation Center. IOP provides support and education to help clients maintain their sobriety as they face the challenges of everyday life. </p> <p>The facility also provides <strong>specialized programming for different age groups</strong>. It is one of 96 Maryland facilities with adolescent programs, while there are <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/MD16.pdf" target="_blank">94 facilities</a> with programs for seniors. Both programs provide the same treatment methods and level of care as the other programs, but with a focus on the special needs of these different age groups. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The treatment team at MedStar includes <strong>physicians and psychiatrists</strong>. Overall, the facility has more than 1,200 staff members with a range of training levels, experience types, and specialized training.
