<p><strong>ABOUT SUBURBAN HOSPITAL BEHAVIORAL HEALTH</strong></p> <p>Suburban Hospital, located within Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md., offers full-service outpatient mental health services. Patients in the program must be 18 years and older, have a <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring mental health diagnosis</a>, and must be willing to participate in a group therapy program.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Interested patients must get a referral from their primary care doctor and a physical exam. The staff's clinical continuum's goal is to provide the least restrictive, most effective level of care to individuals and their families. </p> <p>Patients have access to the Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Crisis Stabilization, and Inpatient Program–<a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/MD16.pdf" target="_blank">one of only 10 facilities</a> (2 percent) in the state to offer an inpatient program.</p> <p>The center offers occupational therapy, group psychotherapy, spirituality therapy, and dual diagnosis treatment. For aftercare, the center helps connect patients to addiction counseling, Alcoholic Anonymous, and Narcotics Anonymous groups.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The staff includes social workers, registered nurses, occupational therapists, art therapists, dietitians and psychologists with vast and varied experience.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>Suburban Hospital is a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine. It's facility is state of the art, located in a suburban area just outside of Washington, D.C.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>To date, no alums have submitted reviews to Rehabs.com.</p> <p>On Google, five reviewers offered largely positive ratings, averaging 3.6 stars.<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> Only two reviewers left comments, however. One five star reviewer wrote, "Best hospital ever, everybody is so kind, others hospitals like Germantown holy cross should learn from suburban, how to be profecional!!!" </p> <p>A negative reviewer, wrote, "They are out of their minds at the addiction treatment outpatient center.
