<p><strong>ABOUT LOUISIANA HEALTH AND REHAB CENTER</strong></p> <p>Louisana Health and Rehab Center (LHRC) is one of the state's <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/LA16.pdf" target="_blank">54 (34.4 percent)</a> <strong>501(c)(3) nonprofit</strong> substance abuse treatment centers, also serving individuals with mental health disorders, homelessness, and/or HIV/AIDS. Located in northeastern Baton Rouge, the organization operates five distinct programs, with services including <strong>residential and outpatient care.</strong></p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>LHRC <strong>follows the 12-Step model of care</strong> and its derivative Children of Alcoholics (CoA) program, and is amongst the <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/LA16.pdf" target="_blank">65 percent of</a> facilities in the state that offers trauma-informed care. </p> <p>The organization operates two residential facilities. Through individual, group, and family counseling; life skills training; HIV and <strong>health education;</strong> and a home-like atmosphere, the center aims to help clients to achieve abstinence as well as a healthy lifestyle suited to the requirements of conditions such as HIV.</p> <p>LHRC also offers <strong>adult and <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/is-my-child-just-experimenting/" target="_blank">adolescent</a> intensive outpatient programs (IOPs)</strong> and general outpatient care for individuals struggling with a primary substance use disorder or <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">dual diagnosis</a>.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>There is currently no information provided by the facility regarding its treatment staff; however, <a href="https://www.samhsa.gov/data/sites/default/files/report_3059/ShortReport-3059.pdf" target="_blank">98.2 percent of</a> all Louisiana substance abuse treatment facilities have higher education requirements for staff. "Everyone that work their is just great," the anonymous reviewer wrote, giving the organization four or five stars in all 15 of the evaluated treatment metrics. Five-star ratings were awarded for the organization's treatment effectiveness, holistic offerings, counseling options, and ability to treat co-occurring disorders.
