ABOUT BRIGHTON RECOVERY CENTER FOR WOMEN

Located in Florence, Ky., just 20 minutes from Cincinnati, Brighton Recovery Center for Women provides long-term substance abuse treatment to women struggling with addiction. To be considered eligible to attend the program, a woman must be at least 18 years old, be struggling with a drug addiction, come from a homeless or low-income background, be able to walk up to three miles a day, and be medically and psychologically stable.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The program offers a peer-driven model of recovery and applies a holistic approach to treatment. According to the facility’s website there are four distinct stages to treatment.

The program starts with Safe off the Streets (SOS), a safe, non-medical environment that allows for the women to begin creating their plan to recovery. After SOS, Motivational Tracks provides women with a low-pressure environment where they can commit to the process of recovery. Phase 1 focuses on building fundamental life skills such as economic independence and social wellness, with the ultimate goal of recovery in mind. Phase 2 reintegrates women back into society by helping them find employment, pay rent, attend self-help meetings, and work on maintaining sobriety.

Brighton also facilities work opportunities through Center Table where Phase 1 and Phase 2 clients may work to gain culinary skills.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

There is currently no information provided on the facility's website or otherwise regarding its treatment staff. It does have a large leadership team. Additionally, 93.9 percent of the centers in Kentucky are certified, licensed, or accredited.

ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES

According to images on Brighton’s website, the 100-bed facility with shared rooms with hotel-style beds or hostel-style bunk beds. Furnishings are bright, modern and tranquil.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

The sole alum that submitted a review to Rehabs.com said that Brighton Recovery Center for Women is "a great facility to work on yourself and find out who you really are and want you want in life." She gave four out of five stars for treatment effectiveness, yet in regards to the staff support, she noted that there is "no help for mental health."

The facility’s Facebook paints a different picture, however. Alumni gave extremely positive feedback on the page, which the center can manage. Based on 49 ratings to date, the center has an almost perfect rating of 4.9 out of five stars.[1] Alum Billie claimed that the center has given her “a whole new world,” adding: “I would recommend it to anyone who is fighting addiction.”

Many of the alums praised the staff, the amenities, and the long-term results of the program.

WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY

The two Rehabs.com reviews received to date from affiliated loved ones are mixed.
