<p><strong>ABOUT ST. ELIZABETH HEALTHCARE</strong></p> <p>Located 36 miles south of Cincinnati, St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Falmouth, Ky., is a dedicated chemical dependency treatment facility of the regional healthcare network. The Falmouth location is the only facility that provides a <strong>14-day residential program, as well as outpatient programs</strong> for adults with substance abuse disorders. <strong>Detox</strong> is available on site, but <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">aftercare planning </a> is available.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Treatment at St. Elizabeth Healthcare begins with an assessment by a clinician. St. Elizabeth Healthcare’s treatment is based on the <strong>12-step model of recovery</strong>. Clients work with clinicians to determine the most appropriate method of care. </p> <p>Clients participate in a highly structured schedule of programming, which includes attending <strong>daily group counseling sessions</strong> and <strong>12-step meetings</strong>. Family participation is encouraged throughout the process and family counseling is made available as needed. </p> <p>Clients also participate in education programs designed to enable them to identify and address problem behaviors. Coping skills and background education on addiction comprise a significant part of the education process. </p> <p>During treatment, clients are subject to random testing including drug screenings. Case managers work with clients to continue treatments and ensure that clients are making progress. The residential program lasts up to 14 days and focuses on producing results quickly. </p> <p>Clients also work with case managers to develop aftercare plans for transitioning back into the community. Developing support networks involving friends, family, and community resources is the primary focus of aftercare planning. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>While no specific information is provided concerning staff credentials, the program’s website states: “Our team has many years of experience and expertise in the fields of chemical dependency and crisis intervention.”</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>St. Elizabeth Healthcare of Falmouth can accommodate up to <strong>28 adults</strong>. During the inpatient program, patients are allowed five-minute phone calls, and the facility offers two TVs for use during non-group times. Patients receive three meals daily and have access to various snacks. Treatment services are made available 24/7.</p> <p>While information on accommodations and amenities is limited, Rehabs.com survey data revealed that former patients <strong>generally approved of the quality of accommodations.</strong> The four respondents to date provided an average 4.67 out of five star rating for the facility’s cleanliness and a 4.5 out of five star rating for its accommodations.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>At the time of this writing, three alumni of St. Elizabeth Healthcare were polled by Rehabs.com. The reviews were extremely positive.</p> <p>The alumni gave maximum five-star ratings for treatment effectiveness, accommodations, meals &amp; nutrition, and family participation.</p> <p>Alumni were divided regarding the level of training and experience of staff. One anonymous alum strongly agreed that the facility was affordable and that there were many counseling options to choose from depending on the client’s preference, while another alum, J.G., disagreed when asked about the same features. J.G. also strongly disagreed when asked if the facility was adequately equipped and staffed to treat co-occurring mental health disorders in addition to substance use disorders.</p> <p>On Google, the facility earned an average rating of 4.5 out of five stars from eight reviews to date. <small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> Seven of the reviews were five out of five stars. Alumni praised the effectiveness of the treatment program. In one representative review, an anonymous alum wrote: “While it was only 14 days long, it was very intense and packed full of tools that I can now use for a lifetime of recovery!!”</p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>At the time of this writing there has been one loved member polled by Rehabs.com about St. Elizabeth Healthcare. The anonymous loved one of a client gave the facility a five out of five stars rating for treatment effectiveness and three out of five stars for accommodations. The individual also agreed when asked if there were many counseling options to choose from depending on the client’s preference and if the facility staff were experienced and well-trained. The loved one thought the program was worth the cost. </p> <p>The loved one strongly agreed that family and loved ones were able to participate in treatment through facility programming. The respondent listed a strength of the facility as, “They work with the clients as well as with the family in the recovery process.” The loved one gave additional commentary praising the facility writing, “The whole family is treated as well as the addict. They work with the addict to help them realize what their triggers are and help them understand why they drink.
