<p><strong>ABOUT SELFREFIND</strong></p> <p>Selfrefind is a <strong>behavioral healthcare provider</strong> operating more than 20 facilities throughout the states of Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana. Located about two hours south of Louisville, Selfrefind in Columbia is one of <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/KY16.pdf" target="_blank">169 private facilities</a> in Kentucky that offers <strong>evidence-based outpatient treatment for adults</strong> struggling with a substance use disorder (SUD). Selfrefind also runs an intensive outpatient program (IOP) at two of its other Kentucky locations.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Selfrefind believes that SUDs are most effectively treated when approached in a holistic manner. Upon enrollment, clients undergo a series of <strong>physical and mental health screenings</strong> to form an individualized care plan. The IOP consists of counseling sessions with a licensed therapist, educational classes, <strong>life skills training</strong>, and assistance in improving one’s sleep, nutrition and hygiene habits, including quitting smoking.</p> <p>Selfrefind also incorporates the <strong><a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/did-aa-save-my-life/" target="_blank">12-step model of recovery</a></strong> into its programming, as well as holds workshops on the states of change in recovery, spirituality, and improving relapse preventions skills. IOP involves <strong>nine hours of weekly programming</strong> and typically lasts for eight weeks. </p> <p>In addition to these services, clients meet with a physician for <strong>prescription medication review and management.</strong> In addition, clients meet with a case manager to help clients connect with other needed medical and vocational services. Clients are also held accountable through medication counts and <strong>regular urine tests</strong>.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Each client works with a treatment team of physicians, licensed counselors, and case managers.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>In the sole alum survey response to Rehabs.com to date, an anonymous alum described the facility in Columbia as having a supportive environment. They felt that treatment was expensive, but effective in benefiting not just them, but also their entire family. "Supportive environment, helpful experience," the alum wrote. </p> <p>In addition to indicating they'd strongly recommend the center to others, the anonymous alum gave four out of five stars for the facility's treatment effectiveness, holistic options, and affordability.
