Medically assisted <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/drug-and-alcohol-detoxification-process/" target="_blank">detox</a> and stabilization are also available. Headquartered in Kendallville, Ind., NEC operates six facilities in Kendallville, LaGrange, Albion, Auburn, and Angola.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>According to the NEC's website, clients participate in a <strong>comprehensive substance misuse and psychiatric assessment</strong> to determine an appropriate level of care before undergoing treatment. Clients stay in <strong>private rooms</strong> and have 24-hour access to care from psychiatrist and psychiatric nurses. The inpatient facility has 12 beds, lower than the average of 32 beds at <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/IN17.pdf" target="_blank">residential treatment facilities in Indiana</a>.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>Though Rehabs.com has yet to receive any reviews from former clients, <strong>feedback on second-party review sites was mixed</strong>. "While at the hospital the Staff didn't give me my meds the first night," willbrayjr wrote in a representative review. They added, that "the NEC also overcharged my insurance."</p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>The sole loved one polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing had a generally positive impression of NEC. Out of five stars, the loved one gave ratings of four stars for the facility’s counseling options and the treatment staff’s level of experience and training. They also gave perfect five-star ratings for the level of family participation and the facility’s discharge planning. Many staffers <strong>praised the dedication of co-workers</strong>, though some individuals were critical of the facility's management. "I would recommend Northeastern Center to anyone that is compassionate in working in the mental health field," one representative reviewer wrote.</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>According to the center's website, Northeastern Center accepts a range of private insurance plans.
