<p><strong>ABOUT CENTERSTONE BLOOMINGTON – SOUTH ROGERS STREET</strong></p> <p>Operating in Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee, Centerstone is a <strong>not-for-profit provider of community-based behavioral healthcare</strong> that serves more than 170,000 individuals per year. The location in Bloomington, Ind. provides <strong>outpatient services for adults, adolescents, and children</strong> struggling with a range of mental health disorders. </p> <p><strong>Addiction counseling services are offered to adults and teenagers</strong>. Centerstone is among 30.9 percent of substance abuse treatment facilities in Indiana accredited by the <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/IN16.pdf" target="_blank">Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF)</a>. </p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>At Centerstone Bloomington, treatment for substance abuse <strong>uses the 12-step model of recovery</strong> combined with multiple approaches to address each individual's needs. The goal of treatment is to help clients to recognize their own strength and resilience, overcome their addiction, and establish a support system. <strong>Most programming is carried out in group settings</strong>. </p> <p>A six-week "brief intensive group" provides education that allows clients to assess the impact of drugs and/or alcohol in their lives. The center also offers <strong>coping skills groups</strong>, one-on-one case management services, a 10-week stress management group, and a <a href="http://www.rehabs.com/pro-talk-articles/seeking-safety-an-evidence-based-model-to-address-trauma-and-addiction-together/" target="_blank">Seeking Safety</a> program for individuals recovering from PTSD, trauma, and/or a substance use disorder. </p> <p>There also is a walk-in clinic for evaluations and crisis services. In addition to outpatient counseling, the facility can <strong>prescribe medications and provide psychiatric support</strong>. Furthermore, there is an employment coaching division and support for adults and teens facing court and jail. Beyond addiction treatment, the center offers community mental health care and home health care.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>In Indiana, Centerstone is accredited by CARF International. The leadership of Centerstone Indiana primarily is made up of social workers. There currently is no further information provided by the facility regarding its treatment staff, however, the one individual polled by Rehabs.com to date gave this facility four out of five stars for the staff's level of training and experience.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>Rehabs.com has yet to receive alumni feedback. On secondary review sites, Centerstone received <strong>moderate-to negative feedback</strong> at the time of this writing. On Facebook, which the facility can manage, 16 individuals gave Centerstone Indiana, (rather than Bloomington exclusively) an average rating of 2.6 out of five stars. <small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> Reviewers repeatedly cited <strong>disorganization and a lack of access to treatment staff</strong> as facility weaknesses.</p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>In contrast, the sole loved one polled by Rehabs.com to date submitted positive feedback about Centerstone Bloomington. The reviewer awarded four stars for the facility's affordability, family participation, holistic offerings, level of staff experience and training, treatment of <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring disorders</a>, and the likelihood they'd recommend the facility to others. "People that work are good... People have to want to be there for it to work," the loved one wrote. </p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>Centerstone accepts <strong>Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance policies</strong>, as well as private payment.
