<p><strong>ABOUT THE WAY BACK INN</strong></p> <p>Located in Maywood, Ill., founded in 1974 and later merging with the Grateful House in 2002, the Way Back Inn is a rehabilitation clinic offering <strong>residential, outpatient (OP), and partial hospitalization (PHP) programs</strong> to adult men and women struggling with substance abuse.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>The Way Back Inn offers specialized gender programming for men and women, yet both offer similar treatment. A <strong>90-day chemical dependency track</strong> and a <strong>six-month</strong> <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">dual-diagnosis track</a>are available depending on client needs.</p> <p>Treatment includes <strong>12-step groups,</strong> individual and group therapy, and a weekly family group with education to loved ones. The facility utilizes both <strong>cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)</strong> and motivational interviewing (MI) in individual treatment plans. Special programs also assist clients with searching for employment and obtaining GEDs. The women’s residential program also offers <strong>group therapy on domestic violence</strong>.</p> <p>Residential care can be followed up with aftercare programming aimed at relapse prevention. The <strong>outpatient program</strong> offers weekly group and individual therapy five hours per week in the mornings and evenings, as well as family education classes and <strong>12-step meetings</strong>. Specialized outpatient services are available for Polish Americans and military clientele.</p> <p>The Way Back Inn also offers DUI risk education and evaluations within seven business days. Treatment for gambling addiction is also available for men or women.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The multidisciplinary team includes <strong>medical doctors, nurses,</strong> a clinical psychologist, master's level counselors, licensed clinical professional counselors, CADC- and gambling-certified counselors, and a registered dietitian.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>Little information is available about the Way Back Inn’s accommodations or amenities, but one alum rated the facility a perfect five stars in that category, cleanliness and maintenance, and exercise and leisure. They described the residences as “well maintained.”</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>To date only one alum has responded to Rehabs.com's survey, and their feedback as <strong>overwhelmingly positive</strong>. The anonymous alum recommended the Way Back Inn with a perfect five-star rating, offering the same rating for the facility's family participation, affordability, and staff’s level of training and experience. Alum C.M.M. described the facility’s staff and internship program as “great” and wrote the facility had a “good recovery rate.”</p> <p>Reviews on third-party sites were mostly positive, with a five-star rating from one alum on Google<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> and two five-star ratings and one one-star rating from alumni on Citehealth.<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-2"><sup>[2]</sup></a></small> Reviewers <strong>praised the staff</strong> and <strong>clean facility</strong>, with one anonymous alum writing: “very caring staff, very clean facility.” </p> <p>On the Way Back Inn's Facebook page, which the facility can manage, four reviewers gave perfect five star ratings.<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-3"><sup>[3]</sup></a></small> Many of the reviewers credited the facility with changing their lives for the better. </p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>The DUI program costs $250, while other fees are based on clients’ needs. Payments can be made via cash, check, or credit card.
