<p><strong>ABOUT THE PAVILION BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SYSTEM</strong></p> <p>Located in Champaign, Ill., The Pavilion Behavioral Health System offers <strong>residential and outpatient</strong> rehab for individuals struggling with substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Building off more than 25 years of experience, the center offers “innovative, progressive, and comprehensive” care <strong>for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors</strong>. Medical detoxification services are available on-site.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Upon completion of a psychiatric evaluation and comprehensive assessment, those in need of detox proceed with the facility's on-site services.</p> <p>Adults have access to treatment via an <strong>inpatient or partial hospitalization program (PHP).</strong> Individualized and multifaceted treatment combines <strong>12-step</strong> principles with <strong>individual, family, and group therapy.</strong> Family involvement and education are core components of The Pavilion’s recovery method, and <strong>medication management</strong> as well as 24-hour nursing support is available for those who need it. Graduates of residential treatment have access to discharge planning and aftercare coordination.</p> <p><strong>Outpatient programming</strong> for adolescents is available through The Pavilion Foundation School, a private day school that serves more than 100 students with learning disabilities and behavioral problems. Designed to reintegrate students with their former schools, intensive personalized education is offered within classes that boast a <strong>staff-to-student ratio of 5:1</strong> and a maximum class size of 10 students. Weekly social work services, IEP advocacy, and behavioral interventions also make up part of the school curriculum.</p> <p><strong>Adolescents</strong> also have access to substance abuse treatment via the <strong>Mental Illness and Substance Abuse (MISA) program, a partial hospitalization program (PHP) and the intensive outpatient program (IOP).</strong> Individualized, comprehensive, and holistic treatment is provided by a multidisciplinary team who engage adolescents in various therapeutic groups and activities, as well as psychological testing. In addition to one-on-one counseling and family sessions, MISA programming includes <strong>play therapy</strong>, educational lectures, treatment videos, life skills training, anger management sessions, coping skills, and <strong>art and music therapy</strong>.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Staff employed at The Pavilion's various programs include psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, nurses, physicians, mental health technicians, social workers/case managers, school teachers (for adolescents), recreational therapists, and dietitians. The seven individuals polled by Rehabs.com gave the facility's accommodations an average rating of 3.1 out of five stars.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>At the time of this writing, two alumni have submitted a review to Rehabs.com. Both reviews were <strong>fairly positive</strong>. The two alumni gave four out of five stars or higher for family participation, facility maintenance, and the staff's level of training and experience.
