<p><strong>ABOUT ROAD TO RECOVERY β POCATELLO CLINIC</strong></p> <p>A part of Road to Recovery, an Idaho-based organization with a number of treatment programs for addiction and mental health disorders, the Pocatello Clinic offers <strong>outpatient</strong> treatment to adults, including clients struggling with <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring disorders</a>. Road to Recovery is a private nonprofit facility, which make up about <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/ID16.pdf" target="_blank">11 percent of all treatment facilities in Idaho</a>. Medically supervised detox is not available on-site.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Road to Recovery offers <a href="http://gaincc.org/instruments/" target="_blank">GAIN assessments</a> to new clients to inform <strong>individualized treatment plans</strong>. Clients are encouraged to participate in community-based <strong>12-step</strong> groups while they undergo treatment.</p> <p>The Pocatello Clinic offers both <strong>an intensive outpatient program (IOP)</strong> and an <strong>outpatient program.</strong> The IOP requires seven to 10 hours per week of programming. At the end of IOP treatment, clients transition to regular outpatient, which meets less frequently.</p> <p>Treatment modalities include individual counseling, <strong>group therapy</strong>, moral reconation therapy (MRT), and <strong>dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)</strong>, as well as <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/sad-lets-talk-about-seasonal-affective-disorder-and-relapse/" target="_blank">relapse prevention,</a> case management, recovery coaching, and life skills. An <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/how-understanding-anger-revolutionizes-addiction-recovery/" target="_blank">anger management</a> and challenging denial workshop is also offered.</p> <p>Pocatello Clinic is also one of <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/ID16.pdf" target="_blank">93 facilities in Idaho</a> to offer <strong>specialized programs for women.</strong> The rehab can provide referrals to a variety of additional resources for pregnant women and women with dependent children.</p> <p>One individual polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing indicated that they received weekly visits for two months after treatment as <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">aftercare</a>.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The treatment team includes a licensed clinical professional counselor, <strong>certified alcohol and drug counselors</strong>, recovery coaches, interns, and an office manager.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The two alumni surveyed by Rehabs.com to date provided <strong>mixed feedback</strong> regarding their experiences at Pocatello Clinic. Both reported that the treatment was helpful and indicated that they <strong>would recommend the facility to friends of family</strong>. They also awarded the rehab high ratings of four or five out of five stars for its staff's level of training and experience, as well as its cleanliness. </p> <p>Their complaints, however, included high cost and a lack of individualized treatment. One alum, a 40 to 59-year-old who was in treatment for addiction to pain medication, told Rehabs.com: "They got me off the pills and taught me coping skills. They did what was required but it was too expensive in my opinion." The other reviewer agreed and added: "It's a good, clean facility but all the patients were kind of thrown in all together...It would have been nice to be with people that had similar addictions to me"</p> <p>Pocatello Clinic received mixed feedback on Google<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small>, where it earned one five-star review and one two-star review.
