ABOUT FOREVER FREE MINISTRIES

Opened in 1995, Forever Free Outreach Ministries (FFOM) operates three facilities, one of which is located in Marietta, Ga., 20 miles north of downtown Atlanta. The faith-based center provides sober living residences, and outpatient-based services for adults struggling with alcohol and substance abuse, particularly victims of domestic abuse. According to its website, FFOM also specializes in providing substance abuse treatment to individuals who were referred through the criminal justice system.

TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT

The goal of FFOM’s is to provide a supportive, safe environment while clients participate in a range of residential and outpatient-based treatment programming. Treatment for substance abuse issues includes therapeutic process groups and individual counseling sessions. Counseling facilitates the expression of emotions, which helps to identify underlying factors contributing to addictive behavior. FFOM’s recovery programming is based on the 12 Steps. As a faith-based program, clients also regularly attend Bible study classes. Outpatient clients are encouraged to attend on- and off-site 12-step meetings, study fellowship literature, connect with sponsors.

Through counseling, clients receive peer support and learn coping techniques. FFOM also offers classes on conflict resolution, self-esteem, and marriage and relationships. Support groups for victims of domestic violence are also available.

FFOM’s main goal is self-sufficiency, and as such, the facility offers job placement assistance, temporary housing, life skills workshops, financial assistance and education, and educational services. Clients are encouraged to obtain employment and stable housing before completing the program.

STAFF CREDENTIALS

FFOM’s employs a team, which includes a reverend, an intervention specialist, a clinical director, and substance abuse counselors. It’s one of the 291 credentialed facilities in the state of Georgia. Volunteers also play a role in the day-to-day operations of the facility.

ACCOMMODATIONS AND AMENITIES

There is no information currently by the facility regarding its living arrangements and related offerings. however, the one alum polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave FFOM three out of five stars for its accommodations and amenities and five out of five stars for the quality of meals.

WHAT ALUMNI SAY

The one former client polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing felt many areas of the facility could improve. Out of five stars, alum Lisa gave the facility’s counseling options and cleanliness ratings of only two out of five stars. She also provided one-star ratings for the facility’s ability to treat co-occurring disorders and its affordability. Commenting on the facility’s environment and questioning perceived financial-driven motives, she wrote: “Honestly, i cannot think of any strengths! They were more about the money. I was the only clean and sober resident.”

On the organization’s Facebook page, which FFOM can manage, nine individuals gave the facility an average rating of 4.9 out of five stars, citing treatment effectiveness as its strength.[1] “One of the best places to get back in touch with your self mentally and spiritually,” Eddie wrote. Some reviews, however, were for the church instead of the treatment.

WHAT STAFF SAY

The sole loved one polled by Rehabs.com to date offered an extremely positive review. They offered five-star ratings for the facility’s ability to treat co-occurring disorders, its affordability, discharge planning, and level of family participation. They also gave a rating of four out of five stars for the facility’s counseling options. “Has a variety of staff to help different problems people are going through,” the family member wrote.

FINANCING

There is currently no information provided on the facility's website regarding its costs. However, it’s worth noting that across the state of Georgia, 53 percent of facilities take private insurance, 51 take Medicare, and 33 take Medicaid. The two survey respondents polled by Rehabs.com provided polarized opinions concerning the facility’s affordability, offering ratings of one and five out of five stars.

[1] FacebookReviews
