<p><strong>ABOUT MARTIN ARMY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL - BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICE</strong></p> <p>Martin Army Community Hospital - Behavioral Health Services, located in Fort Benning, Ga., offers <strong>comprehensive behavioral health treatment to active duty personnel</strong>, their family members, and other beneficiaries seeking treatment for mental disorders, substance abuse, and other behavioral health disorders. This treatment center is a service of the United States Army Medical Department. The Martin Army Hospital is a 250-bed facility providing comprehensive medical care on both a residential and outpatient basis. Detox is not available on site. </p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Martin Army Community Hospital - Behavioral Health Services (MACH-BHS) provides a wide assortment of services to help clients in a variety of behavioral health fields. <strong>Clients can be admitted to the facility if they are or are related to active-duty military personnel.</strong> Clients complete a detailed assessment to determine their treatment needs. </p> <p>The treatment process involves group and individual counseling services using a variety of methodologies. The goal of treatment is to help clients understand the underlying causes of their condition and to learn the skills needed to cope. </p> <p>MACH-BHS is comprised of several sub-departments focused on different behavioral health conditions. Family services, including marital and couples counseling, which are only offered in <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/GA17.pdf" target="_blank">59.9 percent of Georgia’s facilities</a>, are offered through the Family Advocacy Program (FAP). The Child and Family Behavioral Health Services (CAFBHS) department is one of <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/GA17.pdf" target="_blank">68 programs in the state</a> that offers services to adolescents. </p> <p>The Outpatient Behavioral Health Services (Multi-D) department handles the outpatient services including an <strong>outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).</strong> Clients attend weekly sessions with group and individual counselors in order to address their treatment needs. </p> <p>A transitional housing and support unit, the Warrior Transition Battalion (WTB) is available to help clients transition out of service. They work with counselors to make the gradual progression from soldier to civilian with the added support and direction that they need.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The facility is a fully functional medical hospital staffed by medical personnel and behavioral health specialists. Administrative, military, and volunteer staff members may also be on hand to assist in treatment practices. The one staff member polled by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave five out of five stars for its level of training and experience. During their stay, clients have access to medical and behavioral health specialists at all times. The facility is filled with treatment areas including large and small meeting rooms, as well as private offices and medical facilities.
