Clients are also required to attend <strong>12-step meetings</strong> and work with a sponsor.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The treatment team at Athens Area Commencement Center includes an M.D. who is board certified in family medicine, licensed social workers, and registered nurses. Licensed and accredited counselors and medical technicians are on staff along with a pharmacist that manages medications for clients. In 2014, the facility added an aftercare coordinator to assist clients with ongoing care plans.
