Treatment consists of individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy, educational groups, discussions on spirituality, and <strong>holistic activities</strong>, such as massage therapy, animal therapy, meditation, and yoga.</p> <p><strong>Intensive outpatient (IOP) treatment</strong> is often used as step-down from PHP and typically lasts for <strong>three to six months</strong>. During this time, clients attend <strong>nine hours of group therapy per week,</strong> in the daytime or the evening, and receive individual therapy and sessions with a nurse practitioner who specializes in psychiatry.</p> <p><strong>Outpatient (OP) treatment</strong> is similar to IOP, but is less time intensive; clients may customize their treatment according to their needs.
