<p><strong>ABOUT SAFE HARBOUR RECOVERY</strong></p> <p>Located in West Palm Beach, Fla., Safe Harbour Recovery provides men and women (at least 18 years of age) with treatment for <strong>drugs, alcohol, trauma, and eating disorders</strong>, as well as <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring disorders</a>. The facility is high-end luxury and set near the beach. Treatment options include a <strong>partial hospitalization program (PHP) and an intensive outpatient program (IOP)</strong>. Medically supervised detox is not available on-site.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Prior to admission to Safe Harbour Recovery, clients undergo an assessment for staff members to evaluate the appropriate course of addiction treatment. On average, clients stay in treatment from <strong>30 to 90 days</strong>. </p> <p>The more rigorous level of treatment, the <strong>PHP, is based on the "Florida Model of Drug Abuse Treatment"</strong>. The curriculum may include educational workshops and group therapy, and is <strong>12 steps</strong> based. While attending the PHP, clients live in supervised residential housing, where they learn life skills and responsibility. Clients may step down to the IOP or be referred to another program, such as a sober living house, for <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">aftercare</a>. </p> <p>The <strong>IOP takes place from 9:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m., three to five times a week</strong>. Treatment focuses on relapse prevention and there is a family program available for loved ones.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The treatment team at Safe Harbour Recovery, according to its website, is “specifically credentialed to treat addition.” The staff consists of case managers, licensed and certified counselors, therapists, nurse practitioners, and a psychiatrist.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>PHP clients live in a supervised residential house near the facility, which has modern communal meeting rooms and a yoga studio. Clients are responsible for cooking, cleaning, and doing their own laundry. IOP clients may live in a sober house or other transitional accommodations.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>Rehabs.com polled one alum of Safe Harbour Recovery at the time of this writing and the feedback was highly positive. This former client awarded the facility the top five out of five stars for the major categories of treatment effectiveness, accommodations and amenities, and meals and nutrition. This individual submitted the same top five-star rating for the program’s holistic offerings, counseling options, and recommending the facility to others.</p> <p>On Google, reviews to date also were <strong>highly favorable</strong>.
