<p><strong>ABOUT RECOVERY HOUSE OF CENTRAL FLORIDA</strong></p> <p>Located in Sanford, Fla., about 30 miles outside of Orlando, Recovery House of Central Florida provides <strong>long-term residential treatment to homeless adult men</strong> struggling with substance use disorder.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>All clients must complete a telephone interview prior to admission. The nine-month program is <strong>peer-driven, faith-based</strong>, and follows <strong>12-Step principles</strong>. Clients participate in one-on-one counseling, <strong>group therapy</strong>, and addiction education groups, as well as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) and Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings, bible study groups, <strong>relapse prevention workshops</strong>, and case management services. </p> <p>The program focuses heavily on education, job skills, and vocational training. After 120 days in the program, clients become <strong>eligible for outside employment</strong> (any jobs that might endanger sobriety, such as bartending, can be rejected).</p> <p>Family involvement is considered vital to recovery, and the program provides <strong>counseling and education for loved ones</strong>.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>There is currently no information provided by the facility regarding its treatment staff. The one alum surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing gave Recovery House three out of five stars for its staff's level of training and experience, its level of staff support, and the quality of its lead counselor.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>According to the facility's website, clients are not permitted to have visitors for the first two weeks of treatment, and may not receive phone calls for the first 30 days. Cell phones are permitted after three months in the program, and vehicles are allowed after six months in treatment. The one former client polled by Rehabs.com to date gave Recovery House two out of five stars for its accommodations and amenities. </p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>J.D., the sole alumni surveyed by Rehabs.com at the time of this writing, gave Recovery House a mixed review. They awarded the facility low ratings of one or two out of five stars for its holistic offerings, its connectivity policy, and its overall quality of individual counseling. Higher ratings of three or four stars were awarded to the program for its exercise and leisure activities, its cleanliness, and its overall quality of group counseling. </p> <p>Recovery House received one five-star review from an anonymous alum on Google who wrote: "A wonderful facility with caring, and just staff. I'm very grateful for everything the place has done for me," wrote Corey in a representative review.</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>According to the facility's website, <strong>treatment services are provided to clients regardless of their ability to pay</strong>.
