<p><strong>ABOUT CHARLOTTE BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CARE</strong></p> <p>Based in Punta Gorda, Fla., Charlotte Behavioral Health Care provides a <strong>full continuum of behavioral health services</strong> for children, adolescents, and adults. As part of its offering, the center provides <strong>detox, residential treatment, and outpatient treatment</strong> for adults seeking treatment for substance abuse and <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring disorders</a>. Substance abuse treatment is also available for adolescents, but on an outpatient basis only.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>At Charlotte Behavioral Health Care, clients experiencing withdrawal symptoms begin their stay with detox, which is medically assisted and typically lasts between five and seven days. In Florida, <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/FL17.pdf" target="_blank">only 73 facilities</a> offer non-hospital, inpatient detox services. Each staff member is certified and trained extensively in their fields.
