<p><strong>ABOUT THE CENTERS MARION COUNTY - ADULT OUTPATIENT SERVICES</strong></p> <p>The Centers is an organization that provides a range of mental health and substance use disorder treatment services to Florida residents. It's a private nonprofit, which make up about <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/FL17.pdf" target="_blank">42 percent</a> of substance abuse treatment facilities in Florida. </p> <p>Located in Ocala, The Centers' Marion County Adult Outpatient Services provides <strong>outpatient treatment</strong> to adults struggling with <strong>substance use disorder</strong>, mental health problems, or <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring disorders</a>. The Centers' also has a <a href="https://www.rehabs.com/listings/centers-citrus-county-citrus-outpatient-service-331477612/" target="_blank">Citrus County</a> treatment facility in nearby Lecanto, which is about 20 miles away.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>All clients receive a <strong>comprehensive assessment</strong> upon admission to determine the appropriate level of care. If necessary, <strong>work readiness assessments</strong> and <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/how-addiction-can-interfere-with-your-job-performance/" target="_blank">job training</a> and support services are also provided. In 2017, <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/FL17.pdf" target="_blank">39 percent</a> of treatment facilities in Florida offered employment counseling or training for clients.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The Centers' treatment team is led by a <strong>medical director,</strong> and the director of outpatient services is a <strong>licensed clinical social worker</strong>. The one alum surveyed by Rehabs.com to date gave the Marion County facility three out of five stars for its staff's level of training and experience.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The one former client polled by Rehabs.com to date, an anonymous female over the age of 60, gave the Centers' Marion County facility a mixed review. While she awarded the facility four out of five stars for its cleanliness and treatment of co-occurring disorders, and listed group therapy as a strength of the program, she also gave the rehab three stars for its counseling options and noted: "It didn't seem to be helpful to me." When asked, on a scale from one to five, if she would recommend the facility, the alum gave a rating of three.</p> <p>The Centers' Marion County facility received mostly negative feedback on Google<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small>, where it earned an average rating of <strong>1.9 out of five stars</strong> based on 31 reviews. The majority of former clients who left commentary described the facility as a poorly run treatment center with long wait times and unhelpful staff. "I have sat in the waiting room of the Adult Med Clinic for 8 hours one day after not being able to get a hold of anyone on the phone," Jenny wrote in a representative review. "On average, it takes about 3 hours to see an ARNP for 15 minutes to get medication refills at the Med Clinic."</p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS AND FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>While Rehabs.com has not yet received any reviews from this facilityβs affiliated friends or family members, all five loved ones who evaluated the facility and left comments on Google<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-2"><sup>[2]</sup></a></small> gave the Marion County facility <strong>negative feedback</strong>. Complaints echoed those of alumni and included rude staff, slow service, and below average medical treatment. In a representative review, Zuly wrote: "This place is a joke and inconvenience for adult health. Waiting is 3 hrs or more for lack of Doctors. Only have 1. Also he don't ask questions just prescribed new medication."</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>According to The Centers' website, the facility accepts some <strong>commercial insurance</strong> plans, as well as <strong>Medicare</strong> and <strong>Florida Medicaid</strong>.
