The facility is also one of the <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/FL16.pdf" target="_blank">362 (50.6 percent)</a> facilities with programming tracks for individuals with <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring mental health disorders.</a> This location is also amongst the <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/FL16.pdf" target="_blank">73 (10.2 percent)</a> non-hospital treatment centers in the state with <strong>detoxification services available on-site.</strong></p> <p>Situated on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico and the Santa Rosa Sound, the <strong>high-end rehab center</strong> has been treating substance abuse for more than 30 years and offers a range of specialized program tracks, including programs for veterans, individuals struggling with chronic pain, as well as a <strong>Christian-focused program track</strong>.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>According to Twelve Oaks Recovery’s website, once clients are admitted to the residential treatment center, they are assigned to a primary counselor who creates an individualized treatment plan. <strong>Residential treatment typically last 28 days</strong>, but the exact length of stay is contingent on the client’s needs and progress.</p> <p>Treatment combines cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with participation in <strong>12-step groups</strong>, process groups, educational lectures, <strong>holistic activities such as yoga</strong>, and relapse-prevention and <a href="https://www.recovery.org/topics/extended-recovery-programs/" target="_blank">continuing-care planning.</a> Twelve Oaks Recovery <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/the-pain-of-addiction-in-the-family-how-counseling-can-help" target="_blank">encourages families to participate</a> in the treatment process. </p> <p>Specialized program tracks, such as the Christian-based track, incorporate areas of focus and approaches that best suit the needs and preferences of the client. Clients participate in individual, group, and family counseling, experiential therapies, and 12-step participation. <strong>Medication management</strong> is also available to those struggling with co-occurring disorders. </p> <p><strong>IOP usually lasts eight weeks</strong> with meetings held three days per week. The IOP includes individualized treatment planning, <strong>group therapy</strong>, and awareness classes. Official photographs indicate a clean, modern, light-filled facility. While in residential care, clients have access to a range of recreational activities, such as <strong>swimming and kayaking</strong>. The seven individuals polled on the matter gave favorable reviews for the facility's accommodations.</p> <blockquote> <p>Facility Cleanliness and Upkeep: 4.1/5</p> </blockquote> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>At the time of this writing there have been close to 20 alumni polled by Rehabs.com; in general, the alumni provided <strong>positive reviews of the facility</strong>. Many of these former clients praised the high-quality of staff training and experience and <strong>beautiful scenery</strong>. Offering five-star ratings for the facility's ability to treat co-occurring disorders and four stars for holistic offerings, one anonymous alum wrote, “The counsellors are experienced and understanding.
