<p><strong>ABOUT CLAY BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CENTER</strong></p> <p>Located in Middleburg, Fla., Jacksonville, Clay Behavioral Health Center is a private <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/FL16.pdf" target="_blank">nonprofit facility, which make up about 44 percent</a> of all treatment facilities in Florida; it is one of the 315 (44 percent) of Florida treatment facilitie that offers <strong>intensive outpatient treatment.</strong> It also offers a range of services to <strong>adults and teens who are struggling with addiction, mental illness, and/or <a href="http://www.recovery.org/topics/dual-diagnosis-recovery/" target="_blank">co-occurring disorders</strong>,</a> including regular outpatient treatment services, crisis services, outpatient counseling, and day treatment programs are available. </p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>According to Clay Behavioral Health Center's website, all clients receive a <strong>comprehensive assessment</strong> upon admission to determine the appropriate level of care.</p> <p>Adult substance abuse services include <strong>solution-focused individual and group counseling</strong>, a courts program, dual diagnosis groups, HIV education, a parenting program, and an ADD/ADHD awareness group. </p> <p>An intensive outpatient program (IOP) is available for adolescents, as are school-based substance abuse prevention services and <strong>groups designed specifically for young clients who have experienced trauma</strong> or have a history of abuse. Programming may also include individual and group counseling, in-home counseling, and family support group. </p> <p>The adult crisis alternative program (ACAP) provides a <strong>short-term, community-based alternative to hospitalization</strong>, designed to serve clients who are in need of "respite services." Individuals who have been hospitalized for psychiatric care and are ready for a less restrictive setting, but not yet ready to be discharged home, may also participate in the program.</p> <p>Intensive <strong>family preservation and reunification services</strong> are also available in both group and in-home settings. Community-based services such as life skill training, supportive housing, and vocation services are available.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Clay Behavioral Health Center's website notes the treatment team includes case managers, counselors, psychiatrists, therapists, and certified trauma professionals. The two individuals polled by Rehabs.com to date gave four out of five stars the staff's experience. </p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>There is currently no information provided by the facility regarding its living arrangements and related offerings; however, the alum polled by Rehabs.com to date gave Clay Behavioral Health Center three out of five stars for its accommodations and amenities. "There weren't very many amenities but the program is run by the state," they wrote.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The alum surveyed by Rehabs.com to date provided a mostly positive review, and gave four out of five stars when asked if they would recommend Clay Behavioral Health Center. They also gave four stars for treatment effectiveness, clean/maintained, admin/discharge, and its treatment for co-occurring disorders. </p> <p>"Since the facility is for low-income persons, it provides a safe haven for behavioral issues and mental disorders," the alum wrote. "There is 24/7 supervision and assistance."</p> <p>To date, <strong>the 13 people to leave Google Reviews for the center gave an average of 2.2 out of five stars, and mostly negative commentary</strong>. Reviewers called the center corrupt and greedy, and the staff rude and emotionally abusive. "They don't care about their patients," Alex wrote in a representative review. "Treat everyone very rudely. Act like you're a bother and have a ridiculous process." <small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small></p> <p><strong>The 15 people to leave reviews on its Facebook page, which it has the ability to manage, gave an average of 4.2 out of five stars</strong>. Two of the three people to leave commentary praised the staff. <small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-2"><sup>[2]</sup></a></small></p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>The loved one polled by Rehabs.com to date, whose brother attended the facility, gave Clay Behavioral Health Center a positive review. They gave four or five out of five stars for treatment effectiveness, family participation, counseling options, cleanliness, affordability, and treatment of co-occurring disorders. </p> <p>"I loved the treatment they gave my brother," they wrote. "He is still sober!!!</p> <p><strong>WHAT STAFF SAY</strong></p> <p>To date, the <strong>six people to leave reviews on Glassdoor for Clay Behavioral Health gave an average of 2.9 out of five stars.</strong> Most of the feedback was neutral, but most staffers noted other staff members as a strength for the treatment center. <small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-3"><sup>[3]</sup></a></small></p> <p>"Great co-workers and amazing client population," a former employee wrote. </p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>According to the facility's website, most private insurance plans are accepted, along with TriCare, Medicaid, and Medicare.
