<p><strong>ABOUT MIAMI POWER HOUSE CHURCH</strong></p> <p>Located just north of downtown, Miami Power House Church (MPHC) is a nonprofit organization that provides <strong>long-term residential services and Christian faith-based programming</strong> for men and women struggling with substance use disorders. Clients also may have been involved in prostitution or gang membership. MPHC is part of a group of Power House Churches located throughout the U.S., some of which also offer addiction services.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>The Miami Power House Church program is designed to support residents for <strong>between nine and 12 months</strong>. During this time, the facility’s stated goals are to help clients overcome addiction through spirituality. </p> <p>Central to MPHC are the development of <strong>accountability, responsibility, and work ethic</strong>. The facility's website notes that these traits are learned in part through <strong>Bible study</strong>. Residents may also frequently attend worship services, give devotionals, and receive spiritual counseling.</p> <p>The facility states that programming is designed to help people overcome addiction and "life-controlling habits and sin through the Word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit". Residents are taught <strong>Biblical principles</strong> to help equip clients to become productive, law-abiding Christian members of the community. </p> <p>The sole individual polled by Rehabs.com to date also indicated that family counseling, case management, and <strong>discharge planning</strong> may also be a part of the facility's program. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>According to the Miami Power House Church, all program leaders are in recovery and/or have been trained in Power House Church programs.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>Residents sleep in dormitory-style rooms in gender-separate homes. Miami Power House Church holds prayer and worship services, which are open to the public, three times per week. </p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>Feedback for Miami Power House Church at the time of this writing was overwhelmingly favorable. The single alum polled by Rehabs.com to date awarded five out of five stars for more than half of 15 metrics measured.
