<p><strong>ABOUT HOUSE OF FREEDOM</strong></p> <p>House of Freedom (HOF), located in Kissimmee, Fla., offers <strong>residential and various outpatient support</strong> including <strong>Intensive Outpatient treatment (IOP), family support, and "Natural Detox"</strong> to <strong>men and women struggling with substance abuse</strong>. House of Freedom was founded by Pastor Esteban Morales in 1991 and for more than 19 years HOF has successfully helped people rehabilitate from addiction to drugs and alcohol.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>The facility’s treatment program follows various treatment modalities depending on the program in which the client is placed. In order to be admitted, clients must partake in an <strong>initial interview</strong> which identifies their abilities, strengths, preferences, and needs. Residential treatment lasts anywhere from <strong>30 to 90 days for the short-term program or 15 months for the long-term program</strong>. There is also an <strong>exclusive program that lasts two to four months</strong>.</p> <p>Throughout treatment, clients receive individual counseling, medication management, group therapy, recreational therapy, psychiatric evaluations, family therapy, psychological assessments, and other amenities.</p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>The treatment team includes a psychiatrist, psychotherapist, various counselors, a neuroimaging specialist, recovery coaches, and a clinical assistant.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>The facility is 52,000 square feet and provides 24-hour care. <strong>Counselors are on site seven days a week</strong> and the facility provides an Evidenced-Based Practice Curriculum that helps individuals recover socially, spiritually, physically, and mentally. This curriculum, known as Living in Balance, uses <strong>behavioral, cognitive, and experiential addiction treatment approaches</strong> using written exercises, didactic education and instruction, relaxation exercises, and recreational therapy in a group setting.</p> <p>The facility itself, just minutes away from the Florida turnpike and Walt Disney World, features a basketball court, racquetball court, barber shop, serenity garden, therapy rooms, a dining room, laundry room, and gymnasium.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>Rehabs.com has not received feedback from alumni of House of Freedom at the time of this writing.</p> <p>On the facility’s Facebook page, which it can manage, there was an overall rating of 4.8 out of five stars based on 79 total reviews at the time of this writing.<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> In a representative review, five-star reviewer A.G. wrote: “I've been clean for almost two years now...I truly believe that House Of Freedom, and its staff were highly influential and helpful in the course of my recovery." The two loved ones gave the facility mixed reviews. One anonymous loved one gave the facility five out of five stars for treatment effectiveness, four stars for accommodations & amenities, and five stars for meals & nutrition. He wrote that the facility was adequately equipped and staffed to treat co-occurring mental health problems in addition to substance use disorders.</p> <p>The other loved one gave the facility just one out of five stars for treatment effectiveness, one stars for accommodations & amenities, and one star for meals & nutrition. He strongly agreed that there were many counseling options to choose from depending on the client’s preference; that the treatment plan was affordable and/or payment plans, scholarships, or financial assistance were made available; and that family and loved ones were able to participate in treatment through facility programming. He wrote, “It has a pleasant atmosphere, serving very good to our family...It was a nice experience for the family to see that our family was recovered.”</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>The facility states on their website that the cost of treatment there is affordable but fees for the services are not published. According to HealthGrove, <strong>State Insurance (other than Medicaid), and Access to Recovery (ATR) Vouchers are available</strong>.<small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-2"><sup>[2]</sup></a></small> House of Freedom <strong>offers grants to assist individuals who can’t pay for treatment</strong>. Clients are encouraged to contact the facility directly for additional information regarding grants.
