<p><strong>ABOUT BOCA HOUSE SOBER LIVING</strong></p> <p>Based in Boca Raton, Fla., Boca House Sober Living is a <strong>men's sober community</strong> designed to strengthen sober living habits. Offering a recovery-oriented environment, drugs and alcohol and other addictive behaviors are not tolerated or allowed. The center has been in operation for more than 25 years. In Florida, Boca House is among the 44.2 percent of facilities to provide <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/FL17.pdf" target="_blank">specialized programming for men</a>.</p> <p>For clients who require more intensive care than sober living, Boca House is affiliated with local provider <a href="http://www.rehabs.com/listings/treatment-alternatives-514293492/" target="_blank">Treatment Alternatives</a>, which offers detox and outpatient treatment at a variety of intensities.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Boca House's recovery program has a <strong>six-month minimum stay</strong> and is <strong>built around <a href="https://www.recovery.org/pro/articles/how-a-non-religious-journalist-makes-a-case-for-aa-in-2017/" target="_blank">12-step</a> principles</strong>. There are always at least 10 staff members on-site during the day, five staff available during the evening, and one staffer who stays overnight. Boca House is one of <a href="https://wwwdasis.samhsa.gov/webt/state_data/FL16.pdf" target="_blank">192 rehab facilities</a> (26.8 percent) in Florida to be certified by the Joint Commission.</p> <p><strong>ACCOMMODATIONS & AMENITIES</strong></p> <p>The facility has a <strong>weight room and a swimming pool</strong>, and residents may join a softball league, enjoy trips to the beach, or participate in boating excursions during their stay. According to Boca House's website, apartments are fully furnished and include <strong>flat-screen TVs, WiFi laptops, and modern fully equipped kitchens</strong>. Boca House's career center can help clients get health coverage and food stamps, if needed.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>The single alum polled by Rehabs.com to date gave a positive review overall and would recommend this facility. "It was a safe and good program," N.R. wrote. The reviewer gave high ratings to nearly all categories evaluated, including group counseling, staff support, exercise and leisure options, and overall treatment effectiveness. The only categories to receive low ratings were <a href="https://www.recovery.org/forums/discussion/7265/what-is-holistic-treatment-and-how-can-it-help" target="_blank">holistic offerings</a> and the overall quality of individual counseling.</p> <p><strong>Secondary review sites yielded mixed feedback at the time of this writing</strong>. Echoing feedback from alumni on secondary review sites, these loved ones all complained of <strong>unauthorized payments taken from bank accounts</strong> and that the facility was more interested in money that proper treatment.
