<p><strong>ABOUT RUSHFORD AT GLASTONBURY</strong></p> <p>In operation under the Hartford HealthCare network, Rushford at Glastonbury offers **evidence-based *<em>intensive outpatient (IOP) programs</em>* for adults (ages 18 and older) and adolescents (13 to 17) with mental health and/or substance abuse disorders. One of five Rushford facilities, all accredited by the Joint Commission, the Glastonbury location also offers <strong>medication-assisted treatment (MAT) with Suboxone</strong> for adults addicted to prescription painkillers or heroin. <strong>Detox</strong> is not available on site. </p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>Treatment at Rushford at Glastonbury begins with an initial <strong>physical and psycho-social assessment</strong> to help staff understand immediate and long-term needs and place them in the appropriate level of care. Clients meet with qualified personnel and complete a series of assessments. Clients that are a good fit are admitted to the appropriate programs. </p> <p>Treatment consists of introductory <strong>12-step programming, structured group therapy, and drug education classes</strong>, in addition to MAT with Suboxone, when necessary. The facility uses evidence-based practices to facilitate treatment. Treatment is combined with support services to facilitate a more thorough redevelopment of the client’s lifestyle. </p> <p>Teens (13-17) can enroll in an after-school program that utilizes <a href="http://sevenchallenges.com/" target="_blank">The Seven Challenges</a>. The program meets three hours a day, five days a week. Each day, teens learn to cultivate coping and stress management skills and identify and work on the issues most relevant to them.</p> <p>Clients 16 and older can participate in the Close to Home program, which provides medication assisted treatment. Clients participate in group therapy while receiving Suboxone for withdrawal symptoms. Clients must be addicted to heroin or painkillers to receive Suboxone. </p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Limited information is provided by Rushford at Glastonbury regarding its treatment staff. Three reviewers surveyed by Rehabs.com gave four and five out of five stars when asked to rate the staff’s level of experience.</p> <p><strong>WHAT ALUMNI SAY</strong></p> <p>To date, Rehabs.com has received positive feedback from two anonymous former clients. One alum found favor in the “helpful drs” and “nice staff,” while the other appreciated the “very interactive” nature of the program and wrote: “They genuinely care.”</p> <p>Both alumni gave four out of five star ratings or higher for the facility’s counseling options, the level of family participation, and the treatment affordability. One alum rated the overall treatment effectiveness and holistic treatment options with only three stars.</p> <p>On Google, Rushford has two five-out-of-five star reviews and one one-star review. <small class="footnote"><a target="_blank" href="#footnote-1"><sup>[1]</sup></a></small> While the positive reviewers left no commentary, the negative reviewer was unhappy that the facility was unable to help them after they called.</p> <p><strong>WHAT FRIENDS & FAMILY SAY</strong></p> <p>At the time of this writing, one loved one gave positive feedback about Rushford to Rehabs.com. The anonymous reviewer gave overall treatment effectiveness a five out of five star rating, in addition to four stars for counseling options, family participation, and cleanliness of the facility.</p> <p>“This is a facility I would definitely recommend based on my experience. Aftercare and assistance available once you leave the facility,” the loved one wrote. They did, however, give the treatment of co-occurring disorders, holistic options, and the facility’s visitor policy only three stars.</p> <p><strong>FINANCING</strong></p> <p>As an organization, Rushford at Glastonbury accepts private insurance plans.
