Crawford House in particular provides <strong>safe emergency housing.</strong> Both male and female veterans are welcome, but medical detox is not available on-site.</p> <p><strong>TREATMENT & ASSESSMENT</strong></p> <p>According to the facility's website, Crawford House is a <strong>drug and alcohol free environment with 24/7 on-site house managers</strong> that provides temporary housing for veterans. Crawford House's goal is is to <strong>help homeless veterans secure jobs</strong> and a place to stay. If they don't have anywhere to go by the time they leave treatment, they enter a subsidized housing program or a nearby transitional house.</p> <p>Programming includes <strong>case management, training in independent living skills, and job search assistance</strong> (including vocational rehabilitation and computer training) along with group activities that emphasize community interaction. Counseling covers topics such as <strong>self-care, adaptive coping, and anger management.</strong> </p> <p>Before ending treatment, clients are helped to prepare for discharge, find a place to live, and learn life skills on topics like health and personal hygiene. There's an option to progress to an adjacent home that provides <strong>low-cost rental units for up to two years.</strong></p> <p><strong>STAFF CREDENTIALS</strong></p> <p>Counseling is provided by a licensed clinician.
